This Joomla! Module places a Yahoo! Site Explorer Links Badge on your website. It will display the number of Yahoo!'s currently indexed external links pointing to your website, and acts as a link to the Yahoo! Explorer search page displaying all of these links.
The module gives you the option to use a large or small badge, and the option to display the number of links pointing to your entire site or just the current page. You can also adjust the left and right margin for proper spacing in any Joomla! template.

very easy to install and instantly you can see the button on your site showing you the number of links to your site. so far so good. however, the count doesn't filter out the links from your own domain, which is kind of silly. my count said 285 links to the site, when i went to check out which sites were linking to it, turned out they were all my own links! i don't know if it's a limitation of yahoo! or the mod, but, it certainly put a damper on my excitement when i thought i had 285 external links...

This module simply adds the Yahoo! Site Explorer badge to your site. There's nothing I can do to change Yahoo!'s code.

This module works as advertised. I've set it up to be a "special" useraccess level so only site webmasters can view it, however it works just fine in public mode as well. Thanks Patrick for your wonderful extensions. Keep up the good work!

Thanks TheSaint. I'm happy to contribute back to the community and it's nice to hear this kind of feedback.

I like the idea of this module. I have several sites that could use it.. I tryed iton one of my games sites and it said 15 links into site, then when I clicked on the yahoo link it said. NONE! I guess you have to register with Yahoo, but this in my opinion is not a true reflection of what this module is supposed to do...
good idea though,

Hi Sonny. When you click the badge, it shows info for the current webpage you clicked in from. Change the URL in the Yahoo! search box to your base URL and in the dropdown box change "Only This URL" to "Entire Site". The Yahoo! Site Explorer will then show you every webpage on the internet with a link to your website.
Thanks for the feedback.
