  • This extension requires registration to download.
  • This extension by default includes hidden links/advertising. Hidden links/advertising can affect the Search Engine ranking.
I have had this module on my site for about two weeks now.

I have not noticed any advertising at all.

The problem is though, that it only shows about 10 place markers of visitors and I know I have had dozens more than that (via Google Anylitics) so I have the impression that it may be only logging visits from search engines, hot actual people.

Given that it doesn't show actual visitors (which may be my mistake, though I have checked the settings), I will unpublish it.

The module will show visitors if and only if their IP resolves to actual coordinates via a specific service. Unfortunately, not all IPs resolve correctly, and this is probably the issue you are facing.

Module works good! ... for a price of a beer?? Wouldn't a donation then be enough if you're only looking for $5 ?? The best surprise is no surprise. NO hidden advertising!
the reason it only gets a 4 is because of the idea of hidden advertising. It saddens me that the only extension I could get to work and sets up with no problems has some sort of hidden advertising in it. I'll keep it for now, but will hope the other Geocity extension will soon work properly so I won't have to worry about hidden advertising on my site. I'd rather give a donation than to have this sort of stuff in my site.

Unfortunately at the moment, this is the state of affairs, since we need to look after our investment in terms of time spent on development / support. Shortly new "Pro" versions (available for the price of a beer) will be coming out which do not include the advertising.
