In Twitter message you can attach URL to article/event. Using Joomla! 1.5 NCT has support of Joomla! SEF and sh404SEF!
Twitter Status has been transformed to NewContent Tweeter because of new Twitter authorization (OAuth). Twitter Status was first Twitter autoposting extension for Joomla!. NewContent Tweeter has professional support - solving problems often takes less than 15 minutes. Real developers of this application are users. Each idea is very appreciated!
Up until a couple of weeks ago was working excellently, recently seems to have stopped and not hearing anything from developer.
Well thought out and very intuitive to use. Well worth the money. I have used on a few sites now with great success. I'm hoping for some further integration with 3DP Components and perhaps Facebook... in the near future.
Just couple of days ago I got this component and noticed something wrong in instillation and contacted the email provided in the component. Surprised when I got the response in couple of mints! not only the problem was not in the component but in my server, he also did some extra and put new options to it and send it to me. then I asked him to change the VIA NewContentTweeter to my own site name, HE DID IT without any extra charge... I am using this component and I am happy, too. I recommend to any one that needs something like this...
I had a copy of this as a beta and it worked great. Then suddenly the final version is released and mine STOPS working! Talk about angry and really pissed when I suddenly find out that I have to now PAY for this app! Upgrading should be a CHOICE not a requirement, I shouldn't be forced to upgrade like this. But that's ok, truly I'll find someone else who doesn't screw with people. Buying the plugin isn't the problem, but the underhanded and shady way in which this was done is really upsetting.
I refuse to support ANYONE who does business in ANY form like this. I really liked the app, but at this point I refused to be jerked around like this.

Please check whether Beta version of NCT is working now. I am sure that it was twitter.com fault - I don't have button "Disable NCT 3.0.0 Beta". I am also very angry because for ALL of betatesters I have free copy of NCT!
You mentioned one magic word: "support". Actally you didn't contact with me so how could I know about your case? Btw: There was a time when Twitter Status users had option for free upgrading to NCT and I'm pretty sure that such an action wasn't only incident.
I am very sad - no one is jerk. Anyway, please contact with support.
This is a great Twitter component, one of the few actually working with the new Oauth of Twitter.
Really like the new log management and the virtuemart implementation (yes, even with twitpic functionality)! How great!
Installation was a breze and the Oauth setup was really easy.
NewContent Tweeter is a worthy successor of the Twitter Status component.

The NewContent Tweeter is everything that I hoped it would be, and more. I have been using Twitter Status for a couple of years and when Twitter changed its authentication process and Twitter Status stopped working, it became an ever increasing grind to update Twitter manually with every new entry blog into Joomla.
Now with NewContent Tweeter happy days are back again, and to boot, the developer has added an outstanding feature, the option to trim the system logs after a few days, or more, automatically.
This was not an option on the Twitter Status version that had me constantly needing to go to phpMyAdmin and clear tables to remove old logs from the previous version to stop my database from exponentially increasing and increasing the cost to my ISP for hosting a larger database.
I have not tried the Scheduled Jobs option yet, but look forward to finding it as another enhancing feature on this excellent Joomla Component and Plugin.
