To use the plugin you need to register an app in address http://dev.twitter.com/ and provide the parameters in the basic configuration of the plugin J2itter.

I tested this plugin in J1.7, I registered an app on twitter, then enabled and set the parameters in the plugin, but I created an article and j2itter didnt publish anytihing on my twitter profile, maybe im doing something wrong, but the plugin doesnt have the most important, Documentation!

What do you want more documentation? Not least this text you can read compatibility. This plugin is only for Joomla 1.6 so it will not work in 1.5 or the 1.7. Try with 1.6 and fill in the fields correctly it will work for the 1.7 needs some changes when I'm out of time to do, feel free to change. Cheer.
