You can configure the text, link colour (including hover) and whether the module shares the base URL or the page URL it is on.
The link will open up a window where users can log in to their facebook and either post your website on their facebook page, or send your website information to their facebook friends.
It automatically grabs a thumbnail from your website as well as the website title, and some intro text.

The extension was very easily installed. The documentation is less than overwhelming. When I click on the button, I get the intro text "Joomla! - the dynamic portal engine and content management system.' rather than pulling in the meta tag from my site. I've now spent over two hours trying to figure out where this text comes from. You might check the Joomla message boards, because others have had the same problem and have ended up aborting this extension. I'd sure like to use it.
Good extension- does exactly what it says it will do! However I had to hack it a bit in order to make the page come into compliance with W3 standards. A couple of ampersand issues and the script tag not having the "text/javascript" portion, as well as the style tag being in the wrong place, so said the validator.
To fix it, I just replaced "&" with "&" in the URL string, and moved the custom style rules into the a tag.
Seems to work fine now, and it validates!

extension installed easily and was setup in matter of minutes
The link is subtle but does the job, just what I needed. The Facebook link though is just in English, will there be a way to change the language?

As a response to the below question about adding it to articles.. just add the module to a custom position..i use for example position "content8" and in your article simply use the {loadposition content8} (or whatever position you're using..then i'll add this module to where you like it to in the article.

I like that it pulls and post the link. Problem is, it doesn't pull story information, just looks like it mimics the meta title and meta description. I would like to see it able to pull the actual article information to make the post more relevant. Works a lot better if you have SEO enabled, though!
Unlike the JConnector (facebook Connect Module made by Webscribble) , The Facebook Share Module is a gift! No bug detected! Works perfectly with Joomla 1.5.14 core! I have no willing to change the color and hover, they rock the way they are!

Just like the rest of the posts. Works well. Looks good. One thing that took me awhile to find was how to add my own specific images instead of FB's Share API random images from the page. In the head tag...
