Social Relevance: Comments Box uses social signals to surface the highest quality comments for each user. Comments are ordered to show users the most relevant comments from friends, friends of friends, and the most liked or active discussion threads, while comments marked as spam are hidden from view.
Distribution: Comments are easily shared with friends or with people who like your Page on Facebook. If a user leaves the “Post to Facebook” box checked when she posts a comment, a story appears on her friends’ News Feed indicating that she’s made a comment on your website, which will also link back to your site.
Friends and people who like the Page can then respond to the discussion by liking or replying to the comment directly in the News Feed on Facebook or in the Comments Box on your site. Threads stay synced across Facebook and on the Comments Box on your site regardless of where the comment was made.
-Email notifications per comment
-Features include moderation tools and distribution.
-Show on selected Content Sections.
-Show on Sections, categories, frontpage
-Configure number of comments to show.
-Latest Facebook comments layout
-2 Facebook CSS styles.
-Automated Social Graph Meta Tags.
Works and looks great, right out the box, and the built in social sharing bar is an impressive add on.
The only thing missing is step-by-step documentation. (Currently, the developer simply directs you to Facebook's documentation, which to most users seems scarier than it actually is.)
In short, install the plugin, go to the link to Facebook apps and create a new app. I recommend bookmarking the link to the comments moderation page on Facebook, and this (not your site admin) is where you will need to approve or hide comments.
Nice job Alex. Bien hecho!
Thank you for your rating, but I wish you have contacted me before posting questions here as this is not the pace to do it.
Please read the "moderation" section on this page http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/
For the rest, great work!
Hello, I wish you have contacted me before posting questions here, but answering your questions, you can hide the link using the advanced settings in the plugin, dutch language still not available and the Facebook app ID is used if you want to moderate comments.
I really love this plugin and it works great. I know most free extensions have a backlink to the owner's site, I am wondering is there a way to remove 'Web Design Brisbane" link. Please let me know.
Hello Nimmi, you can change this on the advanced settings of the plugin, please download the latest version as there was a languaje problem on an older version.
If you were a little intelligent and investigate a bi more you will know most free extensions have a backlink (NOT SPAM) to the owner's site, there is also a setting in my plugin where you can turn this link off. As for the LIE about white text you should LEARN css as your site must have a poorly developed code breaking links making them white, not the plugin, a more common sense person would contact me before and I would help, but surely you are not this kind of person when you are just opening an account to make such an unfair comment and vote.
but i cant moderate the comments on Facebook moderation tools, there is no comments appear in the moderation tools
I tried to contact you via twitter but no replay
thank you any way hope some one can help me how to moderate the Facebook comments
Hi kinan85, I may have missed you tweet, I am available via Facebook, Twitter, and linkedin as well, the plugin works fine, please contact me and send me the URL so I can help you.
• No or non-existant spam
• Post as yourself (Facebook Profile) or (Facebook Page) administrator.
• Manage comments (remove & Hide)
• Follow or not conversation
• Post or not to Facebook
• Easy to style (not the Facebook Part)
• All the good it does for SEO and having feedback from your visitors
• Sending the article and/or the conversation to multiple socials channels and by email is a bonus.
Hello puneet_jain, the only meta content that the plugin changes if the Facebook meta tags (it has to be that way), if your pages don't have any Joomla meta description, it uses the global description, there is nothing to fix on the plugin about meta tags, please ad meta description to your pages if you don't want the global description in to all pages.
Most all support history on the developer's website is in Spanish, and while you can post a comment with a question to the developer, I haven't received a response, but have noticed others are having the same problem.
The documentation is lacking as well.
Overall I would give this plugin a 5 stars if it worked properly.
