** myApi - combining the power of the Facebook social graph with the simplicity of Joomla! **
This component comes bundled with 15 free plugins and modules that deeply integrate your website with the Facebook API. It includes all of Facebook's social plugins and widgets. Some of these, for example the fan box, come as modules for you to place around your site. Whereas others for example comments and like buttons are automatically added to your site's articles.
But also it builds upon the Facebook API and Joomla CMS with custom logic that provides "one-click" sign up that uses Facebook information to create a new Joomla! user. All of this functionality makes myApi one of the most feature rich non-commercial components that provides Facebook integration.

The only really good facebook extension with all in one , i try it on my website...that's ok ! so there is just a little bug with msg "error updating status". Very easy to install. But i have to disable jcomment, so i don't need both. Just congratulations again and i follow you on you're fan facebook page.

I downloaded the extension and installed it. Went through the settings and created the FB application by following the link from one of the setting tabs.
There are only a few steps and going through them only took a few minutes (including creating the FB application). The only thing I tweaked was the length and width of the fan box....
This was super easy and it works like a charm. Does exactly what we expected and keeps delivering all the time.

Its really a good joomla extension!
I didn't bargain for what i got from this extension, only tot it will be like every other similar extension, but this particular extension proved me wrong. I got a lot more.

This is an excellent way to integrate FB into your community based Joomla site, and is very extensible. Despite the power, it is quite easy to implement and the steps well documented. While it might seem daunting, my advice is to just follow the simple steps and go for it; it is much easier than you think. The author is very engaged and uses social networking to spread the app itself which shows he has a firm handle on the medium. I only hope that as with another FB connect plugin, he can bring data like location, etc, from the FB side to the user account. The comment was made that this is against FB terms, but there is a commercial product that is doing just that and is also on the FB developers wiki so it must be ok as FB listed it there. If you are running a community based website, I can't think of a single reason why you wouldn't try this out and support the developer.

Thank you for your great review. And yes even though importing facebook users profile details into your joomla user database would be great, and even though plugins from the community builder team and others offer this feature it is strictly against the facebook terms and conditions section III found here http://developers.facebook.com/policy/ while facebook are not actively closing apps that break the rules action could be taken swiftly and without notice, deleting your facebook app and destroying your users confidence in you website.
myApi will never break the rules of the Facebook developer platform even if this means losing out on certain features, I believe Facebook have a right to lay down certain rules. And also as a developer I need to be trustworthy and not create applications that could harm your websites reputation.
This is a very important issue and some what of a grey area for facebook developers. However it will be followed closely in the hope that a legal alternative can be found.
This is the best extension i have used that easily connects Facebook users with Joomla with just 1 click, adds FB comments and Share button on your site!
I highly advise you to use this extension and keep watching the updates on the website!!

I love this component, it is truly superb. Easy integration and it really works! I can't speak highly enough of its great integration.

Took me a minute to get all the keys in the right place but this is by far the best of the FaceBook components there is. Thank you for making something that works with out having to get too frustrated or discouraged in the process.

This is what had me stumped for a minute looking for the Application ID.
Go to account/application settings/developer/ click on the name of your new face book thingy and it will bring up all the info and the elusive Application ID

It's an excellent component for Joomla & FB, wich can be set up in 5minutes and has some nice features.

I Thought it was relatively easy & straightforward to install. If you just let the program do it's thing per instructions at first, and THEN go back and tweak things, it's almost moron-proof. Took me two tries because I tinkered. My Bad, not the component's. Keep up the awesome work!
I am a long time Joomla user. I have been looking for ways to integrate Facebook with a site. This is it. After getting a module, then finding another module, then getting different plugins. It's finally all in one package. And yes I joined their Facebook page.

I have no words to praise this application, this is really wonderful and simple to setup! I was searching for an app some weeks ago and finally somebody did it! THANKS indeed!
One thing: when showing the funbox to the front-end, the bottom line disappears, would also remind the issues pointed out by vashnaar.

Thanks for your positive feedback.
The issue with the fan box where the bottom is disappearing is a facebook bug. This can be overcome by setting the height of the fan box from the myApi backend. Put in a really long height first like 1500 and the reduce it until you can still see the bottom line but there is no wasted space. I hope this helps. If no you can send me an email about it.
I am happy to give a high rating for this early release of myAPI. The functionality that I needed three other extensions is done by myAPI. When I sent a message to the developer this morning regarding another extension that it could replace ... he responded in 3 minutes. He told me to expect a release "scheduled in a few days." At that point, myAPI would replace 4 extensions that didn't always play well together. Very easy to set up ... and excellent in delivering what is needed.
Looking for a basic module or something and i stumbled across this extension. Though in early stages it's integration with Facebook Connect is fantastic.
1. I'd like to be able to insert the 'share' button in a different place in the content.
2. I'd prefer a shadowbox login like you get when you click the share button
3. The log out landing page isn't pushing back to the home page like i have set in the admin interface.
Refine the admin interface a bit and expand on some basic functions and you'll have a formidable social integration extension.

Thanks for you positive review and feed back.
Just to let you know you can reposition the share button anywhere within the article div. Just go to the myApi admin section, then the myApi content tab. From there you can enter a CSS rule into the "CSS style" box. For example if you wanted to move it from the left to the right and 20 pixels down enter this CSS
float:right; margin-top:20px;
Also I can't change the light box type as that is made by facebook.
And there was a small bug affecting the log out landing page, this has been fixed and will be available very soon. So become of fan of myApi on facebook to get all the updates
don't bother trying anything else. Just install this. Top component - super easy to customize - great support...and free ...I can't say enough good things about this...

This component does everything it says it will do, and does it cleanly and easily. I got it set up and running within 10 minutes. The developer is friendly and knowledgeable, and overall, it's a great way to improve the social networking capability of any Joomla site!
I see a lot of great potential for this in the future too!
