You can set the number of avatars you want to show and how big the pictures should be.
You can even set caching on or off so the module will not get the people you are following every view.
Your twitter friends will show up in a random order. So by showing 10 friends it does not mean your site visitor will see the same friends every time they visit your site.

New working version with OAuth Twiter Authentication
I installed this module a few weeks ago & I'm really happy with it (in fact so happy I just went back to the developers site to buy the Twitter Followers version too...). Both modules are super easy to install & set up & are the best-looking I've seen so far too - BTW, don't let the commercial licensing put you off - it only cost 1.50 euros (about US$2.50?) for each module & you can use them on multiple sites, so really good value. Highly recommended.

Great Twitter extension. Installed easy and even quicker to get up and running. Had a small problem on the install but all fixed now by very responsive support. Looks great!
