Cron Plugin now included.
Hi brunogags,
Thanks for the review, although you posted it under the wrong extension. Your review is about Ninja RSS Syndicator, and this extension is Ninja RSS to Content.
We have a responsive, helpful team ready to help you on our Support forum if you have any questions about any of our extensions.
If you had asked about your Ninja RSS Syndicator issue there, you would have been informed that this is a weakness in Google Chrome, not our extension.
Google Chrome does not and has never supported RSS. No RSS feeds work in Chrome. If you want the feature, try asking the Google Chrome Dev team :)
At my first try, the Feed goes very well with 10 posts imported!
Pro: easy to use, plus having free support for such free extension!
Con: not support all types of feed and currently can't change the frequency as needed (how can I?).
This is such a very good free product and thank you NinjaForge to give us this!
Neo
It's free!
Con's: If you need a feed updated automatically through it's provider, this program is not for you.
If you require a feed to be updated on an hourly basis, this program is not for you since the shortest update period is 4 hours.
If you need a reader that actually reads & displays XML, this program is not for you.
From the description above...
"With Ninja RSS to Content you can import the most popular types of feeds including; Atom, RSS, or XML feed types."
When search the NinjaForge Forums for a solution to why I could not get XML feeds to work, I found this...
"Current Ninja RSS can't do this, it is setup to only output actual RSS according the specs (in theory you could hack it to work I guess, but a lot of work)".
Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback.
Firstly it seems we weren't clear enough about what the extension is supposed to do. It is not designed to parse flat xml files, but xml feed extensions such as Media RSS.
I am sorry that this wasn't clear but we didn't intentionally mislead you into thinking NRSS2C could do something that it actually couldn't.
I think you will find also that none of the other RSS to Content extensions can do flat XML either. (though I could be wrong as I haven't used some of them for a while)
Also, the comment you found on our forums was actually related to "Ninja RSS Syndicator" and not "Ninja RSS to Content", they are two completely different products.
The next day, new RSS was not automatically import (cron plugin installed and activated).
No matter, I imported manually and this works... until this last three days.
As I also follow RSS with thunderbird too, i saw the last news was not imported, and when I try to "Import" or "Import All", it returns 0 new feeds !
I tried to change dates in database (checked_out_time & lastrun), nothing works.
So I decided to have a look in their forums, I found one post that report this problemen but the only one answer doesn't help at all !
Let's subscribe to their forum... several level of subscription from free to $300 !
Free subscription with a limited access to forum, I think I could post... but where's the link to subscribe for a free member ?
Do they think I gona pay for $10 (one month subscription) simply to ask for help and probably report a bug ?
This extension seems to be a One Day Working one !
Hi chtiland,
We're sorry your experience with Ninja RSS to Content was sub-par.

Regardless, we do and always have provided unlimited free support for this extension, as we have for dozens of other free extensions.
You mentioned our subscription plans... free to $300. The only page on our website that has these plans also has big blue "JOIN NOW" buttons associated with those plans. Click on the one in the FREE MEMBERSHIP column to join and get full, unlimited access to the Ninja RSS to Content forum.
If you have trouble with clicking a big blue button... we also have a contact form you could have used to ask us how to join for free.
We're sorry the extension didn't work for you, but we deal with issues every day for almost one hundred extensions... and we work tirelessly to make the extensions work for our members. We would love to have helped you, had you only persevered a bit more in contacting us.
Thanks for the feedback Sleekshot. We are always keen on improving this extension so are disappointed you were not more specific about what you feel it lacks.
Please don't hesitate to meet us on our forum (free access) and let us know what features it is missing.
Thanks
There is a "test cron" button, but no documentation on how to create the actual cron task. Support appears to require a paid membership. Free membership is posted, but not linked.
