Besides this have we integrated Open Graph, where you can edit the sitename, image, url and more at the Like Post at Facebook. (Only for 1.6+)
At the end it is possible to load the Like Button with Iframe, XFBML or HTML5. With XFBML and HTML5 is it possible to add "Send to a friend button"

This is an excellent extension and does exactly what it claims. I had trouble getting it to fit in the sidebar so I had to add a custom module position for it. Also, as others have stated it picks up on only one image and doesn't let you change this. I'm not sure whether that's an issue with Facebook or this module but unfortunately it means all of the likes from any of my pages show one of the rotating banners instead of the article image. Other than those two issues I'm happy with this extension.

Thanks for your review. But your problem have nothing to do with my module. Facebook renders your page and takes the first image. If you want facebook should use an article image, you should use Open Graph tags.

At last a Facebook Like extension which is easy to use for a non-techie like myself. All this installing apps etc. I just couldn't believe that it wasn't much simpler and it IS! Thank you, thank you!

I've just ran into 1 issue that happens when i click the "Like" button, Facebook says:
You can't post this because it has a blocked link.: The content you're trying to share includes a link that's been blocked for being spammy or unsafe:Body of an error/warning message. Try to contact facebook about this issue. There have also been blocked a lot of websites from Denmark without reason.
This is a great extension. easy to use, highly customizable and free! My only caveat is that I had to add a high z-index value(2000) to the ".fb_edge_widget_with_comment" class to get the comment box to not be obscured by my menu. The developer might consider adding this by default or at least creating an option for it in the module parameters.

I will add this function in the next version.
Simple and easy with great options, however, when I set the width, it doesn't change. I'm using XFBML. On my site It looks like the FB iframe dictates the width at 225px...not sure where this is coming from or how to change it.

XMFBL is resizing automatical to fit the width. This is why we don't have added width to XMFBL and html5.
I especially like the options for "which url"(website url/page url/own url), especially when I use it in a many-page website. Good job!

After wasting time with extensions that forced you to jump through hoops because they really wanted you to spend $$$, and some that just plain were buggy - this one was simple, flexible and it worked right out of the box! And I didn't have to subscribe or register, etc.
I was looking for a simple Facebook Like mod to implement into a number of sites. I tried this one which worked perfectly. There were no options to do any CSS positioning, Martin was quick to answer emails and created a new version that now is super flexible+.

The installation of ver. 1.3.1 on a Joomla 1.7.0 site went without a hitch. Documentation is adequate and the user interface is adequate. When the Facebook site URL was loaded and tested, there was an error from FB. The module has /pages/ hard coded into the creation of the URL. Example: facebook.com/MySite was coded: facebook.com/pages/MySite That is clearly an error. I've corrected the code in the module by deleting the /pages/ from the URL construction and everything worked well.
I then tried the ver BETA 1.4 and got an installation error that the system couldn't read the XML file. Clearly, both versions need some work.

About v.1.3:
When I began developing this module, should I only use it for a page on facebook and have not thought about that it could be used for anything other than that.
I'm sorry about the problem with 1.4 BETA! But it was only a problem for 3-4 days, before it was reported and a new version was uploaded.
Btw. 1.4 is nearly ready for a stable release with HTML 5 support, SEF Support, and totally re-design!
