Besides this have we integrated Open Graph, where you can edit the sitename, image, url and more at the Like Post at Facebook. (Only for 1.6+)
At the end it is possible to load the Like Button with Iframe, XFBML or HTML5. With XFBML and HTML5 is it possible to add "Send to a friend button"
- Color Scheme
- Verb to 'Like' Button
- Add Send Button (email to a friend)
- Load with FB:SCRIPT - XFBML or HTML5 or IFRAME
- Load with http or https (just an extra future!)
- Open Graph (Only 1.6+)
We are not supporting Joomla 1.5 any more. Please update Joomla!
Thanks for your review. But your problem have nothing to do with my module. Facebook renders your page and takes the first image. If you want facebook should use an article image, you should use Open Graph tags.
This is a plugin which do it for you: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/seo-a-metadata/open-graph/20596
I've just ran into 1 issue that happens when i click the "Like" button, Facebook says:
You can't post this because it has a blocked link.: The content you're trying to share includes a link that's been blocked for being spammy or unsafe:Body of an error/warning message. Title is: You can't post this because it has a blocked link. For more information, visit the Help Center. If you think you're seeing this by mistake, please let us know.
Thanks for the 5 stars!
Try to contact facebook about this issue. There have also been blocked a lot of websites from Denmark without reason.
I will add this function in the next version.
XMFBL is resizing automatical to fit the width. This is why we don't have added width to XMFBL and html5.
Using it on my web site and even if I don't mind doing all the config by hand I'm a bit lazy ;-)
This extension made the job for me, easy to use, simple, clear and most of all you can configure it for multiple language....what else?
Many thanks and Keep up the good work :-)
Highly recommend this mod and Martins quick and helpful support.
I then tried the ver BETA 1.4 and got an installation error that the system couldn't read the XML file. Clearly, both versions need some work.
When I began developing this module, should I only use it for a page on facebook and have not thought about that it could be used for anything other than that.
I'm sorry about the problem with 1.4 BETA! But it was only a problem for 3-4 days, before it was reported and a new version was uploaded.
Btw. 1.4 is nearly ready for a stable release with HTML 5 support, SEF Support, and totally re-design!
Sorry for your wasted time on the module.
