Social Bookmarking

Update: Version 1.1 of this popular plugin offers even more placement options with an inline tag, direct support for LinkedIn, and custom CSS.
Why did Abivia create yet another bookmarking plugin? To give you flexibility and control.
With initial support for all AddThis parameters, the Abivia SocBook plugin lets you filter by section, category and article ID. You can include or exclude a list of each.
Control whether or not the bookmarking widgets appear on the front page or in section and category views.
Place the widget using any of the content events or at the beginning or end of article bodies.
On pages that display multiple articles, Abivia SocBook creates bookmarks for the URL of each individual article.
If the user doesn't have permission to see the full body of an article, then the widget is automatically hidden.
AND... unlike some others, this extension is Google safe. There are NO hidden back-links in the generated code. This extension does NOT insert its own advertising, EVER.
This extension requires PHP5; this description is licensed to the Joomla Extensions Directory, unauthorized reproduction is prohibited. Please report violations to Abivia dot net.
This plugin performs as expected and is nicely laid out as well. I went to the AddThis site, hand-picked my sites from their complete list and added them to the custom AddThis list field that this plugin provides.
I have 1 minor issue with this plugin. The button is placed so unobtrusively that I worry that my users won't see it. I wouldn't mind some more placement options in the backend.
On a side note, there is an error in the documentation. The afterTitle display requires that "Show Intro" is set to Hide, not Show as stated in the documentation.
Overall, the best social bookmarking plugin for Joomla that I have tried and I tried every single one with a 3.5 or better rating. Thanks!
Quality and care in the development of this plugin that is not always the case for free extensions.
Big thanks to the developers!
We just wanted to thank you and everyone else for the fantastic reviews. We're really glad you like this extension so much.
This one aced it! Great work.
Seems more flexible than others I looked at/tried, as you can control it on sections/categories to, aswell as front page.
My only issue is that I have pages displayed from components, for CMS Realty component, and cannot see how I can add bookmarks to those pages. Will try and contact their support.
I worked with this fellow for a while to see if there was a fix. Unfortunately CMS Realty is a bridge, so the component just sees the entire output. Adding bookmarking to his listings needs to be done in Open Realty.
