The code requires you to set up a free account at socialtwist.com. This allows you to track uses of the module (analytics).
The latest version, 4.5, will allow you to use the module on SSL pages without errors in IE6. In addition to that, you can create and enter your own custom images.

Although this is a simple extension, I missed a SIMPLE step, but was then amazed at the speedy and friendly support from Chad. As for the results, it gave me what I wanted and more in a simple interface as promised. You want simple social sharing, then this is the extension for you!
I tried several options for social sharing but this is by far the neatest solution, so much so, that it prompted me to sign up and write my first review!.
I, like most males on the planet, didn't bother to read the instructions at first and just installed it without getting the widget ID but soon realised the error of my ways and a simple few click later got the result I was hoping for.

This is an excellent extension. I've used it for nearly two years on multiple sites with no problems whatsoever. It's easy to install, well-documented, and works perfectly. I can't imagine what the one-star reviewer was talking about. I wish all extensions worked as well as this one.
This would be great BUT the Tell a friend widget has no exit button nor does it respond to the Esc key or have any other means of closing the ajax popup.
The result is that the only way a user can get rid of the widget is to close the tab of your site. This is the LAST thing any webmaster wants.
On the CHADTEC demo I clicked on the Facebook icon, it launched a new tab which was good. I closed the facebook tab and was presented with a thank you and share more, but no way to get the damn thing off the screen.

1) There is an exit button. Top right corner. It's in the screen cap here, I *just* checked my demo. it's there, and it works fine.
2) If you have a problem with my extension not working the way it says its supposed to, check and make sure YOU aren't doing something wrong before leaving me a one star review.
3) Give me some information. What browser did you test? How did you install? What other extensions are you running? What version of Joomla? Did you check to see if there were other conflicting javascripts running on the site? (something that I wouldn't be responsible for, and something that any *real* website master would check!)
In any case, thanks for the one star review; my code works fine and the other reviews will speak over your ignorance.
This looks as it will be a great tool. The demo didn't allow for you to use to many possible email carriers as some of the other so there are limits and one serious catch i hope can be fixed. you will need a widget id to get it to work but the site to get the widget is down or doesnt exist any more - good to the project as i would like to try it. Great job!

I don't know whether to ask this or not..but how can the powered by link removed from the popup..only getting the licensed is the solution or any other trick!!

Licensing is the only way. Sorry! They have to monetize somehow. :)
This extension was very easy to install. The only trouble I had was figuring out where I was suppose to get the account from. I wrote to Chad to get an answer but I figured it out myself in seconds. Even tho I wrote to him saying never mind, I figured it out, he still sent me a personal note. From this I imagine if anyone needs support Chad will be right there to help.

I love this Tell a Friend widget. It's dead easy to setup and it adds tremendous functionality to my website in a flash!
There was a small issue caused because of the secure URL of my site and the content from socialtwist not coming from a secure URL source. However, Chad went out of his way to help me with a custom html code and now my website has this great little tool.

Not only is this a one stop shop for all your social bookmarking needs, it also adds instant messaging, social networking, and e-mais into the mix! so awesome, i was inclined to comment for he first time. it even allows you to go in ans search your e-mail contacts for mass invites! i cant wait for my site to be up and running to send out 200+ email invites instantly!
