5. This and future versions will not need the previous version to be uninstalled first.
We have developed a Joomla 1.5 Native plugin that adds a nice "TweetThis" button to your Joomla articles. Its very simple, lightweight and looks good on any site. When your users discover content on your site and tweet about it, it will boost your site traffic. The plugin provides a fully integrated URL shortener and the story or page’s title. Each link that is posted on Twitter adds increments to the counter on that story/articles button. The more tweets a story receives, the more popular it becomes! The compressed files are only 4kb and 10kb uncompressed, all the action happens with one small line of javascript javascript.
What Inspired This ?
Most similar plugins support submitting your content to many Social Networking sites, while having it's obvious advantages, a plugin like tweety that may add unwanted scripts to your site or require you or your Client having to either edit xml files or make sometimes complicated configuration settings or adjust CSS files. Something that your client may not appreciate or understand.
A recent project required a 'Tweet This" link in articles that would enable site visitors to tweet/re-tweet an articles Title and link. There was no existing Joomla module or plugin that fit the requirements for one or the other reasons, thus Tweetme was born.Where did it come from ?
Tweetme relies on the API provided by Tweetmeme.
PLEASE NOTE;
A few sites are "hosting" our extensions without our knowledge so if you did not download from our site, we cannot guarantee the script.

Very well executed! Both tweetme and follow me extensions were installed and work flawlessly from the starting line!
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for taking the time to review the plugin and the module. We plan to add some more functionality to the plugin in the next release.
I guess it is a very big bug with the version but it makes the plugin useless.
Thanks for the review. I also provide free support for this free plugin on the same site where you downloaded the plugin from and there is also a link here on the JED to the Support page.
If you were serious enough to use this plugin you would have visited the support forum and found the reason for what you brand as a bug.
By the time the JED approved this plugin it was already on version 1.5.1, so everyone is using the same version. If it's not working for you , you would have to look at the support site.
My frontpage is already too cluttered and with thumbnails and the tweetme button it's too much.
Also positioning at the end or beginning of the article would be cool
Thanks guys!
Great, thanks for the review, We will look at adding this functionality in upcoming versions, currently you will need to have the frontpage content in a category that can be excluded in the parameters.
The button placement is because of the style and API used, but we will look at making it possible to switch button sizes.
Thanks for the review. Your suggestions are welcome and we will try implement something that meets your requirements
This plugin may very well work, but for me it didn't when I installed it... (made my site bring up an errorless blank page whenever the plugin was enabled)... but what makes me give it the bad review is when I tried to register on the site to join the forums for support (the download is actually entered in a forum entry also) I received a "Creating a new account is currently not possible." message.
Hope to see updates of this plugin to change my opinion.
Thanks for your review, Yes, the plugin is downloadable in our Forum and I do not see any problem with that. No registration is required to download the plugin.
New registrations are disabled in our PHPBB3 forum, All registrations are through our Main site, Please try again as all is working well for many users, If you select "Register on the Forum you are directed to Jommla registration. We also have a contact form if you need to conatct us.
