Let the players's community of your site interact allowing them to comment and to vote on their favourite games, so taking part together to perfect the global average of the other players's score. You can also publish detailed informations about the release date of a game, producer, the players's number, PEGI international specifications, price and a possible site to perform the direct purchase of the game.
The navigation within the games' archive has never been so amusing and easy. Attributing a different colour for each console you can move easily between games on a relevant game platform or a specific genre, browse the last games by date, name or by score and also filter them by review, preview or just those games contain tips and tricks not to be missed!
You can manage multimedia galleries (videos and images) for each game, loading with a single click all the images you want. You can also load videos straight to your site or linking them from YouTube or GameTrailers with a simple click. Protect your unpublished images through the automatic application of a watermark and hiding the real location of the original ones with the rewrite of URLs.
Gamesbox aims to facilitate redactors' life, from administration you can consult detailed graphs on the games' popularity, consult global ratings and setting in detail each part of the component. First off let me just say that I was taken in by the glitz and glamour of the template like most people. It looked good and made me oblivious to the problems so many of the current users of this extension were experiencing. Without a doubt this is a complete let down in every possible way.
It fails miserably at the first stage; template customization. You just cannot get this to work with any template out there unless you spend hours modifying the code deep within. Unsurprisingly however it works perfectly with the commercial template they offer for a few extra bucks. They knew this was the only game portal out there and so have cut many corners in the development. So many features you'd expect to find in most game portals (such as the possibility to add descriptions to games) simply do not exist here.
Also, they offer a whole TWO modules with this product and even those aren't very good. One of them doesn't even work as it should.
People who have worked hard for their money will be better advised to wait until they release a vastly improved version or to shop elsewhere. The money I have spent on this would be better spent on developing my own extension.

I looks good on the Demo... Excelent attempt of component, but with your own Template you will have some compatibility. I have tested templates from JoomlArt and rockettheme, same problem with all of them.
Hope too that this guys start taking serious bug support...but at moment the support doesnt exist.
For example a Question on the non existence of a funtionally "search" implementing in the side will bring you to the answer that you should be write to the user who have made a plugin for search.

I have to say it looks promising... Excelent attempt of component, but if you don't buy their template too, you will have some compatibility issues they are not willing to fix.
If you want to use this component on your own template I strongly suggest you don't do it untill they fix this compatibility issues.

I am very satisfied with this component. I tried many years other extensions but this is the only extension that can completely manage a website dedicated to video games.
Very easy to use, economical, no bugs, good administrative panel, intuitive and 100% customizable.
The front is very easy for your users.
