Very easy to handle this Component for automatic Link Building in Joomla. It's very comfortable cause I must not code every link in my articles by Hand.

Thanks alot for this!

Can I offer some _useful_ improvements?
1) counter - do not replace keyword more than N occurencies in one article
2) export/import of keywords
3) add Title attribute to tag with target article title or description or keywords (it needs caching, of course)
4) feature to strip credits for commercial subsription

I never run into any major glitches usually when installing other components. I am running 1.5.21 and Kunena forum 1.6.0 I installed Sitelinkx on my site only to be horrified by the site of my forums, which were littered with broken code all over the place. I did not backup my site and was lucky to be able to uninstall both the component and plugin. BE WARNED: THIS CAN BREAK YOUR KUNENA FORUM SO BACKUP FIRST! The cause of the problem seemed to be in the plugin itself and not the component but the developer will have to look into this. It is a very promising component and I'm very disappointed that I cannot use it due to this major bug. :(

This is a good plugin. At first we did not like the multiple links per page. But it was an easy fix.
Besides that little change the plugin is perfect.

At first I like this extension a lot, until I found out that you can click that 'show powered by notice' all you want, the link isn't going away.

In fact, when I set it to 'no' I get TWO links in my sourcecode, and on every f@##ing page too!

Can't speak for others and maybe it's different for other templates or something like that, but I would strongly advise everybody that uses this extension and gives a damn about good SEO to check your sourcecode to see if there isn't a cute 'powered by...' comment line, with a weblink included to extro-media.de'

(and yes, I've read the manual too, nothing new in it about how to REALLY remove the link)

Works exactly as stated, nice!

It would be nice to be able to limit the number of instances of keywords/phrases it creates links for in an article. For example, if I mention the same keyphrase 10 times but only want to link the first two or the first and last instance. I have a WP plugin that allows that and it's a really nice feature.

Need a lot of improvements!

1. Don`t deal with "whole Words"
2. Don`t exclude/include custom selected articles
3. Don`t support regexp
4. Don`t check is the match already in link
and many more...
Add awful "powered by Sitelinkx" link on each page

Owner's reply

Dear Opanet,

thank you for voting!

you can disable the powered by Link in the Sitelinkx Configuration, shown on the second picture ahead, or look into the Sitelinkx Manual 1.5 (download at our webpage).

yours faithfully

your Sitelinkx Team

Please enter the limitation for links in the article.

Example:
1. handle the first 3 links
2. handle links through 1-2 links

And another error: The plugin does not handle the entire word.

For example makes reference to the word «go», then the plug will put links to all the words which occur «go». as an example of the word «google».

Thank you Good job!

This extension is not directly compatable with Joomfish. For example if you want to link the word "House" in English and "Casa" in Spanish then you have to make two entries in the Component. But...

If you have a company name like "Joomla" in an English and Spanish site and you want "Joomla" in the Spanish site to link to Joomspan.org and in the English site you want "Joomla" to link to Joomeng.org, this extension will NOT do that.

It would be great to see a module version of this extension so the above could be performed.

hi

as far as I can see, it is possible to put the URL of an article into sitelinkx... you open the article and copy its URL from the address bar, then use that in the sitelinkz component when creating a new link? Seems to work for me

Really great component.

I was thinking of coding something like that for month, and today, I discover this component. It does exactly what I wanted, really simple to use, almost perfect !

A suggestion : it would be really (really) perfect, if we could choose directly an article of our Joomla website to link with a word.

Congratulations !
