Nice module but major bug (using version 2.0) :

If your PHP does not accept 'short tags' (and most don't), you will have to replace every '
This a very good module and works with even some older browsers. I asked for styling service and got it immediatly and exactly how I wanted it. Good job, keep it up!

It's a very great module. It works 'out of the box' and is very easy to configure!

But are there some options to edit the layout? Themes?
Owner's reply

Our module does not have themes because it is free. The CSS in the module folder has everything one would need to customize the module to your sites design. In order to help pay our bills we offer a design service of all our modules for those who have trouble styling them selves.

We Believe this is a great approach because we do not believe in templates and want each customer to have their own custom styled product

I was really getting frustrated with menus. Apparently Joomla "generates" it's menu links so it's hard to apply CSS to them. When I did, every link on my site looked like my menu. Ok, I'm a newbie and I need some help...

So I went looking for menu systems but there aren't very good instructions with Joomla extensions sometimes (often!) And some of the menu systems don't come in the form of modules or plugin's. So what do you do with it?

Fortunately, THIS menu comes in the form of a MODULE... YAY!! It installs easily. I had to learn how to make submenus, but I needed to learn that anyway.

Then you can decorate the menu all you want with CSS. This menu makes sense. And it looks good, it's a huge improvement over standard links. If you do need some help with customizing, I was amazed at how reasonable (cheap) his customizing fee is.

Thank you to the developer for a very nice, easy, sensible menu extension.
I downloaded this module and installed it, it worked "out of the box" as promised.

After visiting the development site, I had seen an offer for customization of the module.

The developer answered my emails and questions immediately.

After sending a pdf of the site design, he customized the menu. It looks perfect, it works perfect.

I'm really impressed by both the module and the developer.

appart from that in the module, the setting to false or 1 doesn't work (not a real problem), it's so easy to customise the css, so i got the last edge on my site works good looks good

thank you very much
At first, I was a bit roused by the fact that some of the module's options do not seem to save from within the Module Manager. For instance, there is no way to set the Accordion to have no menu items open when the page loads, within digging into the PHP yourself, and defining those parameters. Perhaps this will be added/modified in a future release, but for now, the only options I get inside Admin are "1" or "False", neither of which does the trick.

That being said ....

This company really helped renew my faith that not only are there developers out there who care about their product, but also that customer service is still alive and thriving in this world.

I emailed the development team for this plug-in to inquire about the aforementioned issue I was having while implementing this accordion plug-in into my site. Within the HOUR, I had a response back from someone involved with the plug-in. Within another 30 minutes, I had a person from their team take time out of his own busy day, login to my site and Joomla! admin, and hotfix the issue THEMSELF. I could not believe how accommodating they were about this minor bug.

I would highly recommend this plug-in/module, and will personally keep my eye on future developments by their team of programmers.

It will be a long while before I forget the level of customer satisfaction I received from Fade2Clear on that day.
I tried this out but deinstalled it quickly:
1. It works only for two-level menus. My syte has tree
2. The design does'nt go well with my template. Changing the design seems not to work out of the box - since I know little of css

I too had the same error; however, I contacted the publisher of this module and he was very quick in responding and supplying a fix. The fix has been included in this download now and should work "out of the box."

The demo is certainly very nice indeed but I have found this menu not to work "Right out of the box" but, instead, to have a couple of issues, at least for me.

1. Did not display first menu items - just blank but this may be just a css matter.
2. Produced the following errors "Notice: Undefined variable: menuSub in /home/ahi/public_html/modules/mod_f2caccordion/tmpl/default.php on line 28"

I haven't resolved this as I write but would like to as it is just what I need. It is certainly very neat indeed in the demo version.

My apologies for the error. I made a small typo in calling the jQuery File into the header. A fix has been released and is now functioning "out of the box" as promised
