Thanks to Cassrina staff!! Despite the DNS attack they were able to assist em and send me the files quickly. The module is great: simple, easy to use and configure and comes with "clean" code, without messy javascript written inside the page.

I installed this module and at first was very happy. It's simple and easy, and does what it says. However I noticed some errors on my page, related to this module. Basically you can't have more than one menu created with this module on one page. It works, but gives errors.

I contacted the makers of this module and they said it was no longer supported, but they promised to fix the bug when they updated it to Joomla 1.6. Until that day comes I cannot recommend this module.

I started using this module a while back and it is the best. It is easy to configure but the documentation is a little slim. It gets the point across but for newbies, it may be tough.

I use an older version of hover menu with Joomla 1.5 and it has always worked very well and still does today.

Today I've come across a slight challenge and that's the ability to change the formatting layout of the icons like if I wanted a 6x6 square of 36 icon menu links or the likes of such. Basically if it just allowed for wrapping like if I were to have 6 icons per row and to have it auto wrap to the next row and continue there on. It is not the fault or any responsibility of the developer but it's something I'm looking to be able to customize. I noticed jpbhcom had done it but I have no idea how.

If the newer versions 2.5 has this, it would be great. I haven't upgraded yet because the older version works perfect for what it was intended for.

Again, the documentation new and old does not reference the ability to allow me to do the customizations so I will wait to upgrade.

I will also contact Cassrina to see if they can help me out on this.

Overall, this is a great module and it's very easy to configure for what it is. I'm still very happy with it.

Wow! I wish all extensions were this clean and logical. I discovered "Hover Image Menu" this morning. Within an hour, I had it up and running and it just made perfect sense. Then I had some fun creating some menu graphics in Fireworks, uploading them, and watching them go into action. This extension adds great dimension to your site. Congratulations to Cassrina on a job well done!!

Very pleased with this extension. I've tried a number of other "image mouse over", to put it nicely, there are some interesting approaches. But nothing really fit the "CMS" setup I was looking for. Everything non-commercial was fairly poor in my opinion. After installing Cassrina Hover Image Menu, I was pleased that I didn't have to build a large folder system, edit an xml file to include the new images, etc, etc.

I did have to make a change to produce the look I was after (limited buttons per "row"), which I was quite please was EASY. If you select horizontal, then edit the primary php file in the module, you can change the loop count from 20 to X.

It would be nice if your future version offered a X table rows / cells option.

All in all nice program, I'll be using it again.

This little module is really easy to configure and implement, if you're looking for a hover menu with button images (and not just the standard CSS menus) this is just what you need. I had a small problem in IE8 (when first visiting the page, submenus were all opened and remained like this until another menu item was clicked), I wrote the developer and in a few hours he offered his support. For the record, v. 2.5 fixes this IE quirk behavior, so everything is perfect now! Thank you for the great work

This module is not compatible with sh404sef which is the most famous component for search engine optimization please let me know if you guys know any other module which is compatible in place of cassrina hover image menu so i can replace with this one.

This neat little program is a lifesaver and it comes with excellent technical support. I would definitely recommend this module to anyone wanting to use images rather for their menu items.

After trying out other image menu replacement modules that had more hits, this module is so straightforward I could hardly even believe it. Perfect for my needs and perfect for transforming generic-feeling joomla sites into more hand-made websites. I would highly recommend this mod! My Thanks to Cassrina!

... but as the previous reviewer said, the documentation deserves to be worked on. Good products with lack of documentation are half as useful as their potential would be otherwise. Still, it works fine and is a valuable extension. Just sent a help request to developer as I cant get the sub-menus to work because of lack of documentation (or am I just too stupid...). If I hear back from them and could get sub-menus to work I would give it even a "5" ;)

This solved my problem with a rollover menu I had been working on.

It's really easy to set up, and works like a charm.

Only thing that made me not give it 5 stars and only 4, is that it would be good if it was possible to have the option of not having the rollover image to stick as "current".

But really good module!
