After reading the glowing reviews of this product, I decided to purchase it and am very sorry that I did.
At first, the menu's graphics wouldn't display properly due to what was quickly diagnosed as a CSS conflict between the module's and custom template's style sheets. Within an hour or so, I received a revised CSS file and that fixed the problem.
The sliding menus work well and the ability to adjust opacity is very nice. However, this module lacks a module class assignment attribute and the ability to tweak the x- and y-offsets of the menu within the sidebar module. Unless your default module background color is black (the same color as the sliding menus) and your sidebar is particularly wide, you will probably not find this module to be very useful--not if you care at all about aesthetics (and, after all, that is the main reason developers would purchase a menu module.
If the module had the ability to set module class and if one could tweak positioning within the sidebar, it would deserve 5-stars. Right now, as is, I can't use it at all.

I have tried EVERYTHING that is available of menu-systems. I had actually given up on finding a nice lean drop-down extension that was easy to handle - then I accidentally ran into this one.
1) No coding! YEAH!
2) Installation SMOOTH.
3) It's a module, so just activate it and attach your existing menu system you made in joomla.
It's 1-2-3 BAM! and you have exactly what is needed.
I am utterly thrilled after having tried all the others. This should be highlighted and marked and glorified for it's accessibility and friendliness. The line above about "having problem with the extension?" can be removed. You can not go wrong anywhere with this one.

Our customer wanted the menu to expand on mouseover and this has solved the problem.
CSS files have comments within - very helpful.
Note: It took me a while to figure-out that I had to be registered and logged-in to the DC site to be able to see the 'Download' button !

I have been using Joomla! for years and have always had trouble with menu styling and properly working. Because I am not a css specialist I had problems with some menuing exts. This was the first one that I downloaded, enabled and right out of the box worked perfectly. I have noticed a strange issue that when you go into a child menu and then click back to the parent menu, and then back to the child menu, the menu goes back to the default styling of Joomla. It was strange and the occurance was so hard to recreate and motions to get to the problem so intensive that I have no concerns.

I am still fairly new to Joomla! and was looking for a nice menu extension for my client that would fit in well with their site design. I found many of the other menu solutions very difficult to work with, and honestly I was beginning to get pretty frustrated. I breathed a big sigh of relief after downloading this one though! DC Slide is very easy to configure!
I did end up making an initial mistake during setup, but it was entirely my own (stupid) error. :) My request for support was answered in a prompt and friendly manner.
I would strongly recommend this extension to anyone who wants an attractive, easy to configure sliding menu system for their site. Thank you Dart-Creations! You really made my day!

this is a really nice menu with suckerfish that works right out of the box, it extend the buttons correct, after text content, and shows arrows if submenus is avalible,
i give you 5/5 stars but always can things be better, i have lots of ideas for improcement unfortuneley JED says its not alloved in review.
so you have to guess what things that coud be improved. so the module can melt in on every site
