redARTICLEFINDER is a brand new Joomla 1.5 native MVC component for Joomla that allows you to build your own virtual search engine for your articles.
Install the component and in seconds you can be on your way in building you own front end search engine for Joomla based on virtual search types and tags you associate to your articles.
redARTICLEFINDER has native SEF support and generates on the fly SEF urls for all search resultats so you can use it to create your own custom virtual categories for your Joomla website.
Make it possible to search on virtual categories that spread across real sections or categories in Joomla and without having the articles actually containing any information related to the actual search by using redARTICLEFINDER!
redARTICLEFINDER includes the following features:
•Unlimited amount of Types, Tags and Associations
•Dynamical options for search type (Dropdown and Checkbox)
•Select to show article link or full text content from the article
•100% control over layout trough the unique CSS tagging system
•SEF / SH404Sef native support
•Refine search function
•Link to search result function with SEF urls created on the fly!!!
•100% MVC Structural build - make your over template overrides
•English and Danish languages (looking for more - contact me if you are interested in translating to your native langauge).
•and much more...
redARTICLEFINDER is licensed under GPL v.2 but requires a subscription to download.
The reason I gave redARTICLEFINDER 4 out of 5 (and not less) is that I was looking for something like that for a long long time, something simple. I've tried some other extensions but they were too complex for a new Joomla user like me.
Deal with the css and stuff looks great.
If there was a Module in this extension, it would be the perfect article finder.
anyway, Good Job. Thanks.
