Pretty cool idea, great concept, works the treat UNTIL you enable the "System - Mootools Upgrade" to version 1.2, if you enable this the component still works, but the Mootools Upgrade does not! so you end up with no 1.2 upgrade and errors for the components that need it.

Very useful and saved me a lot of time entering 9 categories for 50 states. I just copied and pasted, but I had to figure out that I couldn't use certain characters first took me a couple hours for that, but still worth it. Do NOT USE ' " () or in your descriptions and you'll be okay

Interested in extension - adding sections / categories (content structure in general) is very slow due to page refreshes...so feature to mass add these items is a good idea...but like other reviewer...mass add button only came up in sections menu and not categories menu...may be a small bug...

The plugin works fine for my section area. However for the category area, the mass icon doesn't appear. At first I thought it was due to my joomla admin template as such I switch back to the default one but still the category area does not have the mass icon. I hope this shortfall is from my part because the plugin is good and save much needed time.

I used your extension to add a bunch of categories.
2 Main Problems that are related to eachother.

#1 - Your extension doesn't create ALIASES correctly. The aliases are made exactly as the name of the category. So if you have a category called Puppies & Dogs the alias comes out the same. Aliases have to be lowercase, no spaces and only allowed character is ( - ).
#2 - Because of the incorrect aliases, it breaks the article manager. In article manager, once you try to create a new article, you can select a section but it won't populate the category field.

5 stars if you can fix that issue.

I manage multiple joomla sites and some features are very time consuming this plugin should be part of the joomla installation in my opinion.
Having the same options for creating multiple menus would also be nice Hint Hint...

Only one probelm i Noticed was after installing and logging out I coudlnt log back in again I got
"Cannot send session cookie header allready sent"

There is a very easy fix, for this the problem is caused by trailing blank spaces in "/plugins/system/plg_obmass_seccat/plg_obmass_seccat_lang.php

Simply delete all trailing spaces after

All in all if you create multiple sections and categories you need this plugin, just make sure to fix the .php file.
