These new cloaked links can be displayed in a variety of ways, depending on your SEF preferences, and can be added to article content, menu's, or anywhere else on your Joomla! site using the included module.
AC Link Cloaker is sh404sef compatible and includes an automatically installed plugin to enable this. A custom folder structure for your links can also be created, which is especially useful if you do not use SEF links on your site.
You can also transform your cloaked link into either a standard text link, an image link, or a form button, and use your own custom CSS styles to change how they appear when displayed. Pre and post text/HTML can also be applied to add extra information before or after the link itself. It's all very customizable.
Links are displayed dynamically, and can be managed easily in the back end administration, so site wide changes to each link you have placed on your site are only a click or two away.
When your user clicks the new link, they will be automatically redirected to the original URL, in either a new window, the same page, or a frame of your choice.

Unfortunatley for the developer this may have worked at some point, but it does not work now. ACL tries to cloak but shows the affiliate link instead, which is the whole point to this component. I have also tried oyl which does not work either. It seems joomla developers cant get cloaking to work for some reason. The only cloaking I know that works is pretty link in wordpress.

Not only is this a great component but the support was first class!
I had a requirement to use this component in a manner for which it wasn't designed. I contacted Angle Coding and quick as can be, back came a reply that not only provided the answer to my problem but also included links to the various other Joomla extensions I needed to solve my issue. Steve gave me the answer AND did my homework for me! Can't ask for better than that!!
All in all a very well crafted component that's flexible, versatile and does exactly what it promises. Installing and configuring was a breeze and there's great support to back it up if you need it. If you run affiliate links on a Joomla site, YOU need this!!

If the extension wasn't great enough, the support was better. Angelcoding responded to my questions quickly, and helped me solve several non related issues with Jooomla.
