This mambot allows affiliate marketers to cloak their affiliate links using Joomla! CMS to stop people from taking the commission themselves. Not only does this mambot turn the target url into unreadable characters, it hides the url in the status bar.
Version 2 now works with WYSIWYG editors.
Strangely you cannot set browser window status bar using javascript (by setting window.status) in Firefox. There are two simple ways you can enable it.
Open about:config in browser and search for dom. disable_window_status_change. Change it to false.
Default is: True.
