New for Version 2.0:
1) Article selection button instead of requirement to use "article id" number.
2) Admin parameter to control whether auto-link applies to first instance or all instances of a keyword in article content.
3) Admin parameter to control whether graphic image appears next to generated links, or not.
4) Simpler single step installation -- component and plugin installed at same time.
UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS: Uninstall old version of component and plugin, then install new single-step package.

I can't say enough praise for this component, now that the new version has been released. All my previous feature requests have been put in (along with a few extras). This is a simple component, but it works perfectly! ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS! I highly recommend this to Joomal administrators. Waht a great and simple tool to help internal and external link generation to aid in SEO!

I am sure this component can work well with English and other latin-based languages.
However, in my test, it can't replace Chinese characters/words with the link I had defined at its backend.
In fact, I had been seeking for such a tool for more than 2 years, and NO one can work with Chinese characters.
Hope the author will improve this to work also with Chinese words, and other utf-8 encoded characters, such as Japanese, Korean, Arabic, etc.
Thanks.

SimplyLinks makes organizing my website so much easier. It also should help with SEO ratings.

Easy to install and configure. Am looking forward to the new version upgrade.
I liked your ext. It is helpful, but lacks something important. In case of internal links, there's no way to set. (see Linkr does it nicely)
I've a site about history & culture where so many names & terms are inter-related that it's very painful to link them manually. If you're could ease internal linking, it would be very helpful for sites like these.

This is a really great idea and it is implemented well, so far--but it needs more work. It installs correctly and without a fuss. It works as advertised, but I found that I needed to manually edit a PHP file to tweak the operation the way I wanted (by default, the autolink only applies to the first occurence oper page, but I wanted it to apply to all instances--which worked perfectly once I made a single edit as described in their support forum).
I found the "icons" that appear next to autogenerated links annoying, but they were easily removed by editing the CSS file.
The developer tells me that both of my points were "well taken" and that he plans to implement parameters into the component and plugin in the next version to address both items.
The other thing I would like is a "select" button for article linking instead of having to know the article number.
Overall, a great component and plugin--just needs some improvements. I highly recommend it.
