The look of the button is fully configurable from the backend,
you can change the text, font-color, font-size, background images and much more.
You can also define how many pixels must be scrolled down before the button appears, the time that the button needs to fade in and out and if the button should be transparent by setting the opacity between 0.1 and 1.
This plugin works with mootools 1.11 that is included in Joomla 1.5 and it is compatible with every browser, even with IE 6!

This is the best solution available for the purpose.
The button is fully configurable. If your site is very deep (with long contents), you can configure the button to only appear when you want.
I asked in the suport forum for the possibility to use the button in the left side of the webpage. In less than 24hours, a new version was released, with that possibility. Who can ask better than that? Thanks!

I've got one of these on my WP .. and was searching frantically for a good one until I chance upon J2Top.

if you have longer content, this is the best plugin for. very easy to install and to chanche the parameters.

This is a vey good add in which offers your site visitors an easier browsing experiance without cluttering up your articles with hyperlinks. Visually it looks sophisticated to boot.
The first poster may have missed out on the final setting for the plugin which allows for different bodyid classes. There is more information in the forums on how to configure this option.

I do so much work on the computer that I'm always at risk for carpal tunnel flareups... So this button looks good to me and my poor tired arm! Reduces the work of scrolling by a lot!
And it's fun to play with too, when you're tired: we go UP and then DOWN, and then UP and then DOWN... It's kinda irresistable, you have to play with it. :)
And yes, it's super easy to install. Almost no setup. You can customize it if you like. This would possibly be classified as a little gimmick item, but I think once you have it you'll see that it's actually a very useful and use-able part of the page. I like it!
