Spread Firefox Module

This module helps a little bit to push IE out of the web. It displays a Firefox download button for IE users and a different custom message to non-IE users.

Buttons and messages are customizable.

Great!
Nice and simple. Customizable.
Tried the other ones and they basically just check for IE6 or not. Whereas this one checks if IE and, if yes, lets you display a custom msg.

One suggestion, the "message for non-IE users" won't accept a blank. That is, if a firefox user visits my site, I don't want to display anything. If you leave it blank it repopulates "thank you for not use IE". For now I just put a . (period) there.

Thanks for the cool extension!

You can try inserting a non-breaking-space HTML entity:

I like this module.
We are making some slight changes so it will alert windows Firefox users to switch to IE8, as we really do believe IE8+ is the better browser.

Thanks for your excellent work in the battle againts Internet Explorer.

This module could be the best if it hides when a user browses the page with Firefox.

Do you consider this an option for next future?

Best regards

I love the fact that this is so simple. Anyone can use this easily. Just install and enable and you are supporting Firefox. Very simple.

What I don't like about it are 2 things. One there is no option to hide the module for Firefox users. I worked around this by editing the .xml file and making the "msgalternative" default text blank. This allows me to use the Advanced Module Manager to hide the module when empty.

The other thing I don't like is this module uses the developers Firefox affiliate link without giving us the option to use our own link. I feel like the option should be there, and if it's not used it could default to the developers link.

I don't think it's a problem, and I do feel like the developer deserves the credit for helping people switch to Firefox. I use this module on a few sites and will be using it on more.

I found the buttons non obtrusive and it is a great way to show support for Firefox. Great job from the developer!

It looks a lot better than the link I had to the FireFox download page. Thanks.
