I would give this five starts if there was an option to have the window pop up no matter what version of IE someone uses.

Does anyone know how you would achieve that?

Works great without IE Sucks. In my site I see strange behavior of IE 6 browser, when IE Sucks mode is enabled. Anyway - needful plugin.

Works flawlessly - and was exactly what I was looking for in my frustration regarding IE6! Thanks!

It would be nice to add option to test the plugin from any browser just to be sure how it works and then just turn off the test mode.

You can use download multipleIE for testing from http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE.

It's too much intrusive. Module isn't correctly displayed in IE 6.

Great plugin!

But is it possible that users only see the warning once ? Or that you make an option that you can choose to display it only once per user ? I get complaints from users that visit the website at work and they cant update there. So they see every day the warning.

Thanks...

IE6 was getting up my nerves!!!, my template doesn't work on it, and this is an excellente way to fix that issue ;)

This plugin does exactly what it says.
Just unzipped the archive and 5 clics later I could test it from ie4Linux that it simply works.
Browsers icons look nice; links do work; i have the choice to let the guys coming on IE6 visit the site --or not.
Will contact developer as the French translation has 1 or 2 typos ;)

Sounds like a lovly plugin to solve ie6 issues but dont know how to install the language package as there is no xml file for installation for the front end.
Owner's reply

For install the language package copy the language/[yourlanguage] folder into [youjoomlainstallation]/language.

this is a helpful little plugin.
only if I knew how to stop it from being cached...
When enable global caching.
If page is viewed by IE6 first, next user (with Firefox) will also see the message.
fix this and its a winner.

Thanks for this really easy to use plugin ;)
Why i love it
- Really easy to use
- Nice render

What missed to me
- More parameters (ex: customize CSS)
- A french language file

Thanks again ;)
Owner's reply

Great Plugin. I've just made a Hungarian translation for it, maybe somebody can use it.

The reason why I gave only 4 stars is because I think it lacks a few options at the backend. E.g. I would like to turn off some of the browser options. I know this could be done easily by modifying the code, but that's not the same.

Hope to have further updates to it.

In the end: very usefull!

Thanks for the great plugin,
Siki
