RokTabs

The module has the ability to be fully automated, switching based on time or manually by user interaction.
RokTabs also has support for the plugin allowing to load modules inside it, as well as supporting K2.
★ Features
- Tabbed Content: Display multiple content items in a tabbed enclosure.
- Module Position Support: You can insert module positions inside the tabs.
- Inbuilt Styling: Both light and dark styling for standalone support
- Configurability: Highly configurable from options dealing with transition, to content type and layout.
I settled on the CUSTOM theme (which by the way blends in perfectly with the template style). But here is the rub - how many articles do you have that are of the EXACT same length ?
Answer - ZERO. Thats right, the extension makes the tabbed display as big as the biggest article, leaving lots of white space for all your shorter articles. Now who is going to find this acceptable ? Certainly not anyone who believes in having a great looking site.
For the guys at Rockettheme - all that hard work and you messed it up by leaving out one single feature ?! Go figure!
I had to hunt high and low before I found a single and solitary mention in the RocketTheme forum site that the module height is not determined dynanically - but is fixed. Strange that no-one else even mentions it.
So here it is - THIS EXTENTION HAS A FIXED HEIGHT ! Your articles will look yuck with lots of white space.
Fix this and you have a great module. Until then...........
The request functionality is now part of RokSprocket in 'Tabs' mode. RokSprocket is the successor to RokTabs: http://www.rockettheme.com/extensions-joomla/roksprocket
I have tried it twice now on different sites and run into the same problem both times that have caused me to abandon it. I also see many other users with the same problem also forced to abandon it's use.
Don't expect Roktabs to be useable in the non-commercial version except as a way to evaluate the commercial version.
The height of the tabs is not easily or obviously customizable and it appears that the support will not answer questions on this issue from non-registered (i.e. subscribed) users except to point to forum threads which can only be read by subscribed users.
I understand the need for us all to make a buck but this simply seems like a bad way to do so. Offering something but not actually delivering.
Unless you are prepared to use buy the commercial version don't waste your time here as many others seem to have done.
Hope the author will improve this better. Thanks.

I had the same problems with the bullet point being added to the tab titles and I also use the afterburner template.
I managed to solve it by applying the css fix detailed here:
http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=264&t=77451&rb_v=viewtopic
to the css file
/modules/mod_roktabs/tmpl/light/roktabs.css
Substitute light for dark if you use the dark template for your tabs.
HOWEVER....
I have the brilliant Afterburner Template which these guys kindly provide free and I downloaded this module too and this seems to be a bit of a problem... Call me fussy, but I just don't like the dots on the tabs messing up my text. If they could simply get rid of these I would have given this 100%
They have a "solved" thread for this issue:
http://www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=264&t=77451&rb_v=viewtopic
Which doesn't provide much help with Afterburner - which doesn't have a "template.css" file that I have been able to find as an amateur.
It also doesn't work 100% with Google Chrome (seems fine IE & FF). But this is a problem with Chrome rather than their end as far as I can tell...
The biggest problem is that there doesn't seem to be anyway of getting support without paying to join their forums. Which I am too tight to do.
Only suggestion would be to add the ability to specifically choose what is in each tab. Meaning instead of having to choose the article section and category... I would like to specifically choose an article/module for each tab directly to have more control of the order of the tabs. Hopefully i'm not over looking something lol.
However like i said i still think its an amazing product and works great out the box :)
Afterburner disables Mootools by default in its settings (Admin > Extensions > Template Manager > rt_afterburner_j15 > Enable Mootools : Yes).
And RokTabs requires mootools in order to work so just set this option to yes and it will work :)
Great job!
