For simple HTML modules where you only have text, this works like a charm, because you create it on the module manager. But, then again, you can't actually style a module that is not a mod_colormodules15 module, so...

Sorry to have disappointed you, but we've never mentioned that you can style another module with Color Modules ! If you have an issue with the stated functionality of the module, we welcome you to post in the forums http://oasissolutions.co.in/forum/10-color-modules.html
