Mooslider Module

Mooslider enables you to put any module in a slider. You can have up to 6 modules in the slider. Mooslider will slide through each module.

Mooslider uses the slider from noobSlide, a mootools based slider. So it works by default with Joomla without causing problems with your other scripts.

* You can have up to 6 modules in the slider.
* Mooslider will slide through each module.
* You can set the speed of the slider
* You can enable or disable auto play
* Ability to use your own custom width and height for the slider

Module positions can also be customized but by default they are:

* mooslider1
* mooslider2
* mooslider3
* mooslider4
* mooslider5
* mooslider6

Setup:

1. Install module
2. Enable Module
3. Place modules within Mooslider positions (mooslider1 etc)

I've been looking for a good slider module. When I saw the original noobSlider preview, I was both impressed and enchanted - this is really what I am looking for.

So I installed this module, and unfortunately, it does not keep the promise. It has only very few parameters, much less options than the original. The displayed module items dont fit in size. When they rotate, they don't disappear completely and tend to overlap.

Well, just another wasted hour or so in trying to fix it...

It works exactly as described.

It could be your having problems with multiple divs inside of the slider positions. The module does not play nicely with multiple divs with their own css styling.

It could also be styling issues..

The mod sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Sadly when I try to install the zip (yes, the second one in the first zip), I get this error:
"Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package."
When this is fixed, I gladly give it lots of stars.

The bug should be fixed now.

Let me know if it is not working for you.

I gave this a try and it is very complicated to use with all the editing of the XML.

There is also no un-install option in the backend.
Owner's reply

There is an option to uninstall MooSlider.

There must be something wrong with your Joomla install.

Why do you need to edit the XML? There is no need for that.

Cool. Just worked.
Be sure to add the positions the templateDetails.xml in your templates folder.
Owner's reply

You can add the mooslider module positions to templatedetails.xml but it is not required.

You can type in the module name into a module position for any module. You do not have to use the drop down list.
