Fancy Accordian Pro provided almost exactly what I was looking for... It loaded seamlessly... the only thing that took me any time was deciding which of the many templates best suited my website...

It is limited to 5 tabs, but when I contacted their tech support I got a reply within a couple of hours... which i consider great.

The only drawbacks I see are the the need for hard coding changes in the number of tabs... and the lack of an easy interface to connects the tabs to my Joomla articles and modules...

If it suits your purpose... this module wrks perfectly...
