If you have a pedantic client or you are pedantic yourself and insist on having non web standards fonts embedded on your website you'll probably be delighted to find this extension. You may find yourself disappointed however at the end results.

It has a tendency to apply styles to individual letters rather than a block of text which I believe resulted in excessive vertical space making the layout of my website inconsistent and well, ugly. Try as I might, I could not code my way around the issues and had to throw in the proverbial towel and look elsewhere.

This is a pretty good little extension. The documentation could be a little more clear that you need to edit the styles.css in the pcdtr directory, not the template stylesheet, and the images could include 'alt' tags, but other than that this is a great extension.

Very Excellent Plugin !
Just two notes :
Can't use class names with caps.
.my_class works
.myClass don't works

Sometimes, caracters spacing is not correct on some specials fonts. (like scripts fonts for example).

Thanks a lot for this excellent plugin.

Thanks for this plugin. I have been looking for some way to use php to change the fonts without javascript or flash. sIFR and Cufon are... to say the least, just okay. However, this is definitely the best way of using dynamic and system fonts. Our entire site degrades gracefully with flash or javascript off, except our Cufon... now we don't have to worry about creating images to replace our text when javascript is off! Thanks!!!

Works great, but it took a little bit of time due to the sketchy documentation and my very limited background with CSS. I installed the extension, enabled the plugin, and saw immediate changes applied to my article titles. I then accessed the file manager, outside of Joomla to upload font files to media/pcdtr/fonts. I changed media/pcdtr/css/styles.css to use fonts that I uploaded, and I was up an running.

This plug-in is the best. I will be using it for every Joomla website I create moving forward. Only on my first one so far ;) but with the simplicity and power of tools like this one it shouldn't take long to run through a website.

This is a great extension, easy to set-up and very powerful - unfortunately at this point it seems to be incompatible with the EasyImageCaption plugin which makes it unusable for me right now.

It is very nice.
Just a question: using a dedicated css style sheet, it is not correlated to the template in use.
If I use more than one template, how can I style differently from a template to another?
regards

This has the potential to be a great extension but it was not what I expected. First I installed the plug-in and then uploaded fonts and then activated the plug-in. I go to my home page ans see a new font and wonder whjere it came from. There is no documentation for this plug-in and the web site forum does not have "how to use" instructions. These little issues could easily be solved and should be.

My greatest disappointment was to open my JCE content editor for testing expecting to find my uploaded fonts as available selections. Not so. I guess they must all be defined through the supplemental style sheet. Experimenting with fonts is a trial and error process and it beomes tedious when they must be applied through a style sheet. Plus I would like to have the option to applu a new font to selected sections of text only. If this extension can do that I do not know how and therein lies the problem.

The little issue with documentation is in the works. http://pcdtr.otherland.se/forum/6-how-to . What people must understand is that I'm doing this in my spare time. And i hate writing manuals. So the community is more then welcome to help.

Then the JCE issues. Answer is in the forum http://pcdtr.otherland.se/forum/5-help/161-jce-question-answer

Very good method to replace sIFR. This pcDTR plugin made it easy to use any font on your Joomla website. I can even use it to show Chinese fonts. Great!

Before I used this, I had a lot of problems using custom fonts. One method is to make an image of it, but than it is not readable for seach engines.

This solution is doing exactly the right thing. Using custom fonts, working on multiple browsers and still readable for seachengines.

Good work!!!

For a plugin that's only a few weeks old, releases to fix the issues that some users have been experimenting with have been coming out nice and fast.

Working it out is a bit DIY at the moment, but once the PCDTR site is enhanced, I'm sure examples and wiki will follow so those less technically minded can quickly get replacing their fonts using PCDTR.

A brilliant plugin, completely eliminate the need for using flash fonts. I use it for menus and headers, it's working very good in all browsers except opera 10.
Please fix this to work in Opera 10.
Despite this, the project deserve way more than 5 stars. This will bea great success in the joomla community.Excellent work.
