You can assign a class to the module in the back-end params allowing you to custom style the plain text or even image option. The advantage to the plain text option, is that you can custom style to any font-family or color to fit your site best with a class and your stylesheet.
NEW FEATURE!!! - You may now upload custom button images to your images folder and select them in the back-end!
This module includes transparent Black Text and Transparent White Text Options which allow the module to seamlessly fit your Site. The transparent buttons are your choice of png or gif images. png images provide a higher quality look, however Internet Explorer 6 and earlier have trouble reading png images properly. If you have much IE6 traffic and you want transparent buttons, you should use either the text option or the gif images.
NOTICE: THIS MODULE WILL NOT ADJUST THE FONT SIZE IF YOU USE INLINE STYLES OR FONT SIZES CREATED BY A TINY MCE EDITOR. IF YOU UNIVERSALLY CONTROL YOUR FONT SIZE WITH YOUR CSS, THIS MODULE WILL WORK PERFECT! If this module does not work with your site, there is a font-size style that is taking precedence over this module. We have a tutorial showing how to overcome this issue.
This is not a hack and is incredibly easy to setup or disable.

This module does what it says.
This simple to install and ease of controlling the text with px/em/% settings and simple to install module is well worth the download.
I personally had some issues with the module but this was purely due to the css used in my template. The developer Kevin Florida was awesome, making every effort to help correct the issue which wasn't caused by the module.
If I could give this module a star rating higher than 5, I would.
Full credits to the developers.

I registered just so I could write a good review and tell everyone that the people who did this extension really try to help and provide great support. I couldn't get it to work right with Artisteer and, even though there is some editing to template.css that has to be done, they created a step by step on how to do it and I go it to working. Great extension and great support.

We spoke with Artisteer about their stylesheets and making them more compatible with Joomla! extensions.
They stated they are going to eliminate these style conflicts with their next release. We look forward to it.
If any other folks are having Artisteer conflicts, check out our forum for a fix tutorial.

One of the best modules to increase/decrease front size. No need to edit css files, this module can have px, pt, em. It doesn't alter any css nor template files. Support is one of the best i ever encountered. Nice and polite folks, always answer within a day. I had a problem with java-heavy extension which didn't displayed the images right.They released an update within a week to fix this problem! Excellent program and excellent service!
I prefer to style my fonts with pixels and I had trouble finding a solution that was compatible with px.
This solution is great because I can select percentages or pixels!

very good simple solution, had problems initially with my CSS using font-size: 12px; etc but changed to a percentage so now reads font-size: 1.0em; and it works a treat. Nice one.

We added an optional param to select pixels as your default. Please download the latest version and this module will work with your stylesheet that is in pixels, not percentages.
To Update:
Uninstall your current version of this module, install the latest version with the Joomla installer. Setup is still the same.
We hope this update makes the module more compatible with your pixel-based fonts.

Please update to the latest version. You can now adjust the default size in em, px, and pt.

Very easy to install, and does exactly what it says it will do. Also, I found a small bug - the developer released a new version within days to address the problem. Highly recommended!

Just what I was looking for. Took all of 5 mins to install and now my mother can increase the font size and read my site.
