I felt I needed to post a review after reading the reviews below.
This is such a simple extension that is extremely easy to set up. Assuming you have the paths correct in the configuration file, the script does exactly what it says it will. It will replace a directory with the backup as well as a database according to the frequency specified in the cron.
A good policy when using this script is to place the backups outside of the web-accessible directory.

I tried to install this and failed! The instructions appear simple and everything seemed fine during installation.
When the cron ran a load of errors were thrown up and I un-installed it. As I had to register to download I expected some sort of help from the distributor and contacted them to see if they could help!
I never heard a thing so, if you can get it to work great - if not and you want help forget it!
