I have used the script version of this and it is a must!.
We all know how to back up but restoring can seem a little more complex. This file is neat. Dump your SQL output in a folder and load the script, prime it first with your details.
Call it in your browser and let it loose.
Also get around the SQL size limit by slicing the dump into manageable chunks.
like I said, until u tried you don't quite realise what you have.
oh and yes, as you are going to upload a file with your details on first you must delete this file after using the script (but you all knew that right!)

I had some problems with importing large Joomla! tables (2-3MB)via phpMyAdmin into MySQL database. Timeouts, lack of memory, etc., etc.
My problems have gone away with BigDump.
The product is really fast, reliable and - to my surprise - very easy to install and use.
I am The very satisfied user!
