useless tool. completely lacks the reading of the internal folder for the reconstruction of the contents of the files in .. / html directory. what it produces is a simple xml file available in all templates and editable so much faster than the understanding of this tool. loss of time.

In version 1.6-1.7 do not represent the contents of the directory!
this is one excellent hell of a work here. it does not matter if it is table based. this is just a simple file working well. i would suggest that instead of putting it into template folder make it like a proper web script where we just enter the path of the template and it should do the job from there. i think that can be done easily.

Thanks for your advice! We'll make it. But I'm afraid the developers did not want to send their own templates on my website.

This is a PHP script that must be run from within a browser.
NOTE: Before you run it make sure permissions on folder is read/write for everyone. I had forgotten. But it recovered wonderfully.
The generated "templateDetails.xml" file was nice and clean and saved me HOURS of typing.
I recommend it to anyone working with Joomla templates.

This is basically a simple script to create the xml file for you. But you have to register for this guys website before you can even obtain it, which is really anoying. Once you have the script, there are no instructions, but you just upload it to the exact directory of the template. So this means moving it around for each new template you make. The author doens't have very good english so some of the instructions on the website are confusing, but I just found the entire experience of trying to use it difficult. The script's page is also a table-based layout.
At the end I didn't seem to get an xml file so I don't know what I did wrong but it's not there. I wouldn't bother.

Everything is very simple, but you should have a test server supports PHP. You need to put your project and the tmpl_builder on your server and run the tmpl_builder. For example: http://localhost/your_folder/tmpl_builder.php. You have to ensure the right to write your folder, eg chmod 777.
I canceled the registration for my site.
