I've been very impressed with this IDE. The plug-ins are very useful - I have now bought all of them for less than some companies charge for an IDE. If you don't need the plug-ins this is an excellent free program (the plug-ins are 30-day trials - I have found them worth the money, but if you don't use them they will quietly stop working without disturbing the core functionality). I've been impressed also by the speed of releases - the few niggles I had at first were fixed before I got around to reporting them ... and the releases also included useful new features.

I've only begun to use this IDE, but so far I like it, and you can't beat the price. Yes, they are sneaky about making you pay for the Joomla! plugin, which is reasonably price. Personally, I would prefer that they just be up-front about it, 'cause as it is, you end-up with a vague feeling of being manipulated -- not a good basis for doing business, IMO. Anyway, a nice tool with too many nice features -- well-worth evaluating.

If you download the ide and install it, it says that you ca get a free code, it even asks you what plugins you want to install(joomla included). The registration button takes you to those guys' website and a form asks you what you are interested in (in my case joomla development), then the registration code allows you to work with everything BUT that(no Joomla project available in New project menu!). You have to buy the plugin if you need it! Well thank you, but I'll stick to Eclipse, who does all I need. I just thought that this is better!
