I've setup a few sites for customers of mine with this extension. I wouldn't recommend running a commercial based sight without it. I'm quite pleased with this software, and it's ease of installation & signature updates. It's saved 1 site so far and helped me find and disable a loose extensions vulnerability.

Open Source Excellence will have my business for future sites I construct from here on out so long as they keep doing what they're doing.

I had a crazy attack on december 24th, and after delete all my content to start over, i got hacked again :(. Then i found this suite and they save my life! the support its incredible, and the suite works perfect, detect the suspicious and the really intents, they guide me trought the installation process and the results where amazing, had no attacks, the scripts still clean and the attacks controlled. i think that so far this is the best purchase i made for my clients.

I have owned this suite for nearly 2 months now, and the bottom line is that it does what it was intended to do...

But not w/out some caveats. There were a number of bugs that occurred along the way. Installation is not simple although it is fairly well-documented.

The anti-hacker picks up a number of site-wide false-positives, although you can supposedly tone down the sensitivity of its detection. The anti-virus scanning picks up many false positives, and the nature of the alerts are not explained well. I would be nice if the supposedly malicious code could be displayed in the anti-virus itself (via popup or link), instead of having to pour through the all of the code itself to find the source of the error, or worse, having to look at a before/after snapshot of the cleaned/uncleaned files. It's inconvenient and time consuming.

It even picked up a false positive when scanning ITSELF after fresh installation.

Having to manually enter false positive strings in the anti-hacker is also very inconvenient. (GET, POST, COOKIE).

There issues w/ the file scanner, where it will not refresh after finishing the scan of a large joomla site (12k+files).

Basically, the product does not feel polished to me. The beta version of the file scanner that OSE installed (after submitting a support ticket) worked better and had more continuity in terms of the interface.

All that being said, the product stopped all of the issues we were having immediately. It does what it says, and the support was very good as well. It's money well-spent, and I would recommend it to anyone who asked. But I would issue a warning w/ my recommendation. This software IMO needs a bit of polishing in order to truly shine.

I use the Security Suite for the websites of all my customers and I can tell you that the suite does a great job.
And above all the Support of the OSE team is excellent. I recommend this Suite to you.

Less expensive than securelive and file scanning built in(securelive wants 190$ per site for the same results.

Ose answers support email and purchases within 5-10 minutes.

The software is rock solid and stopped my hack attempts straight away.

Buy this or regret it...i promise.

If you have ever been hacked you know the humiliation and anger it can cause, mainly because you know it should never have happened if you were doing your job right.

This security suite makes it very easy to secure all of your sites if they are subdirectories of a common root. This is the most common setup for commercial hosts.

It will require a little reading of the very well written documentation and maybe a couple of questions to support which will be answered quickly and in detail, but once you've done it you will have mastered it.

I can't recommend the OSE Security Suite highly enough. It will be a part of my tool box from now on. Don't be caught off guard again. Protect yourself and your clients. Buy OSE today !

I am administrating a website of a very large government organization that have more than 300,000.00 staff with thousands of enemies, before i start using php anti-hacker, my website was being hacked twice a week, and me poor was re-uploading the whole thing again and again.

This is my first review in Joomla Extensions, I did because of the bad review that "Paxxo" gave to one of the best extensions ever for joomla, this extension literally save my site and believe me when I say that I still be trying to clean my site but OSE Security extensions help me all the way to clean the site, I have no complain, nothing is perfect but this extension ROCKS!!!!

I have to buy Open Source PHP Security Suite but the information for install it´s unsatisfying. It´s not clear and loose the proceudure of installation. Instruction information it´s very por and loose. I could not install the product and the support service is can not give adequate information.

This product came just in the nick of time. I was being marked by a hacker from indonesia who was defacing me and hundreds of other Joomla sites across the internet and this product was my answer to his attacks. This suite allowed me to go step-by-step and secure my website. Im going to suggest that all of my clients use this component to secure their websites. I am so happy that I can sleep easy now that I have a true security solution for my web clients.

Not only is this a fantastic bit of kit, but the support is outstanding and it is great value for money because you can use it on as many sites as you want.

I use either the standalone Security Suite or the Joomla extensions on all my sites now.

Helix is a star when it comes to support. I had a Wordpress Multisite installation with a Joomla site in a subfolder. This meant I could not password protect the Joomla admin because Wordpress rerouted that URL to the front page....

Excluding the Joomla folder from the WP .htaccess did not work either, but Helix came up with a solution within hours and now I have the best of both worlds.

After reading all the reviews, and comparing different security components and plugins I decided to purchase this suite. The reviews seemed great, and the features surpassed all other options. The installation was a breeze, just follow the instructions and you are done in a few minutes. After installation I ran into a problem that confused me, and I could not solve (regarding 500 internal server errors). I couldn't find a solution in the OSE wiki (which seems pretty decent) so I got a support ticket and I had a solution the next night. All I had to do was provide my FTP details and Helix fixed it for me. Very happy customer! The best customer service I have ever had. Quick, polite, and professional. Well worth every cent, definitely recommended!

I was hacked first, and then got religion. I had restored the 4 websites that were hacked and then looked for the best prevention tool. I could have saved a lot of time by using the suite to simply removed all traces of the hack instead of restoring the sites manually.

Documentation is sketchy, but not bad. Most importantly, the tool works as advertised, and the support is phenomenal. I highly recommend to everyone.

I too did this the wrong way round and installed the OSE suite after numerous hacks. This quite simply saved me, my business, my customers, money to pay someone else to do it and my sanity. There was a learning curve for this techo noob but the support is outstanding and they have never failed to help. I cant say enough about this purchase but glad i did. Thankyou to the OSE team.

I have been using this on my sites for several months, and the first thing worth mentioning is the Support!

Helix is amazing. Great attitude, Very Helpful. Great response time, Works until the problem is solved and/or the customer is satisfied.

I love everything about OSE. Reasonable price points, great support method, and very flexible well designed extensions. I will definitely be buying from them in the future.

Now, about this product:

Set up isn't for your novice web-admin and requires above average web-admin experience in php. Having said this, note the support feedback up top; they will help you to get it working, regardless of what you know (rather don't know)!

As I'm writing this, they have temporarily removed the Wizard feature from the set up, but have told me that it will be back in future versions. I NEED the Wizard feature! haha.

This suite covers almost everything. Brute-forcer prevention, Additional Password Protection, IP blocking, Virus scanning, PHP locking, and, really, too much to list off the top of my head. Basically a must for Social Networking and eCommerce Sites.

The one thing it doesn't offer is what you get with jSecure plugin, which is an alt-key for your administrator login url.

HELIX, PLEASE ADD THIS FEATURE! I don't want to have any redundancies, and being that the new jSecure offers IP blocking, there would be a redundancy in having both.

OSE PHP Anti-Hacker Suite is the best all in one protection for your php site. This is a must have for any php site owner for an effective protection against all kinds of hacker attack. After having a scare with a PHP injection I decided to try this product and I can honestly say right now that I have never made a better "security" decision in my life.

Title says it all really. I had various issues setting up the Joomla version of their anti hacker extension (they do a generic PHP version and Joomla version), mainly due to getting it working with the hosting company I use.
Their support was excellent, prompt and great communication.

I support a club website which has been under frequent hacker attack for the last couple of months. I'm pretty upset about it, actually - I'm an independent developer supporting a few local businesses and it's hard enough keeping up with my clients' needs without life being made so much harder by hackers. I really don't have the time or resources to deal with it. Hackers picking on sites like mine is the cyber equivalent of mugging pensioners.

Enter OSE Anti-hacker suite for Joomla. These people have developed a great product which (I'm pretty sure) does what it says it will do - I've already stopped 3 attacks in the first 24 hours of operation.

If you've had major hacker problems you'll know what I mean when I say that it's fantastic to have a team like this on your side. I can't recommend them highly enough - it's very cheap peace of mind.

I initially had problems installing this product - because of my own lack of expertise. Knowing my limitations I eventually asked the developer if they would do it for me for a fee. Well, they went ahead and did it anyway and then said it had taken less than an hour and did not propose to charge me. I can tell you, I was so impressed by both their timeliness, their generosity of spirit and their overall professionalism that I could not possibly let them do it for free so I made an appropriate donation.

I deal with people all over the world, most of whom treat you as a faceless entity which I guess is understandable. However, I can tell you that these guys (Shawn and Helix) have REAL HEART. They are incredibly decent and professional and from what I can see and from what I have read have developed a superb product that everyone should use if they want proper protection.

I cannot be more enthusiastic about OSE. To buy their products is to buy CONFIDENCE and VALUE well in excess of the dollar price.
