Until now I was using the Wamp server (version 2c)for the development of my websites. I got large problems with the transfer of the websites to the newer versions of the Wamp server.
Then I tried this stand alone server. Absolute excellent and it works without flaws.
One advise: Use the Akeeba backup component with kick start or a similar backup system to transfer your websites to this server. Just including your website folder and database might be complicated.

I was searching for a solution to demonstrate a localy developed website at another location. I found MovAMP.
Install this product on a stick and run it to use it. If you stop the programm and take out te stick you can put it in another PC and just run it. Then you have the complete website, server, database, etc. with you and you can run it on every computer.
