Jamp is very easy to use, so I would highly recommend this server for professional and home users. I use it not only to projects based on Joomla, but also others, such as php.

I have used this extension for several months. The install was easier than setting up an hosting account. All you need to do is create a folder and load Joomla, period.
I especially like to use it for akeeba backup restore and test new ideas before loading on the live site. You can troubleshoot issues easier than using this extension without disturbing the live site.
I have installed demo sites using this extension. It is perfect for experimenting so you can demonstrate to customers on screencast.
