Jongman ComponentLanguage

JONGman is a native Joomla! 1.5 component partially ported from PHPScheduleIt. With Jongman, you can group some resources into one schedule, create menu item for it. In one schedule, all resources share some properties for example week day start, start and end time of reservation etc. Users can make a reservation in single period or choose option to repeat their reservation in many ways.

Some Features
- Multiple schedules are supported with unique resources. Then you can create menu item for each schedule.
- Blackout times are easy to add and manage to restrict reservations. When resource is in blackout it can not be reserved by users.
- Reservation minimum and maximum time limits can be set on a per-resource basis.
- Administrator has power to add and manage an unlimited number of resources. All which can be toggled active and inactive at any point.
- Administrator has control over all reservations and can browse, modify and delete any reservation in the system.
- Resources can be set to require administrator approval for all reservations using the resource.
- Recurring reservations and reservation summaries are completely supported.
- Support for multi-day reservations.
- Schedule is GUI based with easy to identify reservation availables.
- Reservation validation is done using AJAX request.
- Schedule can be set to start from any week day or use current date as start date.
- E-mail notification on new, modification or delete of reservation

Jongman is still in Beta, just for testing only.

Hi,

I was looking for a kind of booking component for teachers on a school. So parents can book there 10min. talk with the teacher.

What I miss and like to see is:
- At the Schedule Manager > Start and end date
- On the front, it must not be possible that other users can see the information of other users (or optional what kind of information is available for everyone).

This extension is great. It does exactly what I need it to do and more. It's really good.

I just wish there was an easier way to configure some things from the backend without the need to work on the code itself.

Having said that, I have to say once again that the extension is very, very good. And it's still a beta, so I'm sure it will be even better in a few months. And the developer is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for Jongman!

Its a good extension to start with, but I think it need lot of changes to become a good extension.
It needs improvement in configuration validation and other stuff like picking the default values intelligently for where ever value 0 is entered.

Thanks for feedback. I also want JONGman to bee a good extension but with only me it could not. Thus I welcome any suggestions for improvement. If you can please post at JONGman project (JoomlaCode.org). Thanks

Great extension. I am testing it for my company's intranet site room booking. So far it's a great component. But the only disadvantage is Recurring reservations - if I create a multiday reservation, only the last day is reserved.
Owner's reply

Thanks for your review. Recurring was disabled for multiday reservation. But if I not got you please, post it at Jongman project at joomlacode.org, so we can discuss on the issue.

When this is finished it will be just what I need! The support and documentation links above are broken so I hope the developer will fix those. Like gilfo1, I cannot access the Blackout Manager as an Admin in the backend. And 12 hour option doesn't stick. Also have problems with Edit on the front end. Very much looking forward to the next update!

This is great. I have been waiting for someone to do this. Has basic functionality, but I'm sure the rest is on the way. For me Blackout Manager wasn't available, and there was no way to approve appointments that require approval. But I am sure that stuff is on the way. I think A LOT of people will find this great.
Owner's reply

Thanks for your positive review.

Blackout Manager shall be available to user in Administrator and Super Administrator only. In next release, registered users can be assigned as resource administrator.

To approve pending reservation, Admin just only view and save it.
