Taxi Booking is Joomla component that installs easy and has very user friendly management interface.
Once installed Taxi Booking will provide the website owner with a booking system that will make bookings and take PayPal payments right on the website.
Taxi Booking's will email the customer a booking confirmation and then automatically send an email when the website owner changes the booking status (Waiting, Accepted, Rejected and Archive).
The website owner will receive a notification of the booking made as well with all details about it and will then be able to go to the admin interface and add a Driver and change booking status.
All orders are stored in the back end and can be accessed any time.
Booking web form is very user friendly. It will calculate the distance between Pick up and Drop off locations via Google Maps API and then calculate the total price multiplying distance units by the charge per unit and add any extras like Child seat, Airport pickup fee etc. (all extras configurable in back end as well).
Then the booking form will present the client with the Total amount for the journey and will ask for trip specific details like dates and times of travel.
The client will be presented with 2 payment options: PayPal (if configured in back end) or Pay Cash (pay the driver directly).
Taxi Booking is very easy to manage, with a very user friendly interface but also powerful and sophisticated functionality that runs in the back end.
This Taxi booking engine is full of features and very powerful. I had never used Joomla before when I came across Mr Kanev's engine but the end product was awesome and my client was very happy. I was quoted £600 for a similar engine built from scratch.
The integrated Paypal/NCI/or Cash option system also works a treat with all the payment details handled in back end with the possibilty of partial or 100% payments.
The code is well written and clean and easy to edit and customise. And Moreover the support from the owner is second to none.
