PLMC is designed you to manage your books and articles with cool features.
PLMC provides a full-featured book library (or collection) management environment on a Joomla website.
List of Features
* You can define unlimited Category & Subcategory for your library and You can assign different custom images to each Category (instead of having one standard icon for all)
* You can define unlimited publishers and You can get the list of books which are published by this publisher company.
* You can define unlimited writers and You will see list of bookswhich are written by the writer.
* Our Library component supports tagging for the books.
* Your library has a language file. You can use the component in your language.
* Library is searchable. (Simple searh or Advanced Search)
* Supports CSV files. You can import your existing Books with a CSV to the your Joomla web site
* Library component supports sef urls and you can manage the meta tags of library
* Library component has a great speed. It does not load extra Javascript or css file. It's using core joomla css values and javascript files.

If this extension was free, I'd say download it, work with it, and cross your fingers for future improvements. Since it's not free, here are the pros & cons:
Cons:
1. Books can only be placed in one category, even though publishers may list a book in two or more categories (e.g. Fiction, Romance). You have to add a book once for each category, creating duplicates. There isn't even a "copy" button, so you have to retype everything. It does, however, allow you to add more than one author to each book...
2. The lower row of tabs when adding a book are not visible if you click on the upper tabs, but one of them is required (Book Writers). It doesn't become visible until you click on it (which you can still do even though you can't see it).
3. I don't use one of the WYSIWYG editors, I use the "no-editor" option, but this only saves if I have TinyMCE as my editor. It's just a glitch, but needs to be corrected.
4. There should bee a separate table/list view setup. You can choose what shows now, but there should be separate view options for tables and for the detail page. The table is currently too wide for my site, but if I remove items, I will also remove them from the detail page, which I don't want to do.
5. The tabs, when adding a book, should be re-arranged. All of the required fields should be on the first tab at least, because right now language and author are on separate tabs, but they're both required.
Pros:
1. This extension is very specific to books, so if you're not really picky about features, it's a great tool for a smaller collection of books. Larger collections may be too cumbersome to set up and navigate.
2. When you view a category list or even a book's details, you can always click on a link to the publisher, author, or category listing to find similar books.
3. The link field is great for Amazon Associates or a similar link, or just a link so your visitors can easily buy the book or read more about it.
I don't think it's worth $30 just yet, but I do think this extension has a lot of potential.

I purchase this extension 3 days ago, I have to say this is the best extension among books & libraries. It is possible to full access to source code, you can use this extension for 5 sites, it has a nice feature for publisher and writer page which list all books, was added to the database.
On the other hand, this extention is lack of features which is very important for site for books such as:
1. it is not possible to add different metadata for each book, except for title, which is a huge disadvantage for SEO
2. no feature for adding ratings or comments
3. It is not possile to add url image on book page, it is a disadvantage if you have big database of books
4.on first page of library list of books only listed by catagories, it is not possible to list by writers or publishers on first page
5. you need to add writes and publishers before you add books which is another disadvantage if you deal with big databases
these are the first things I see I heven't chect the search feature yet...
in conclusion, it is not worth to puchase this extension if you can't manupulate the source code, but if you can it is a great time same for the ones who deal with sites for books.
