I am looking for a component to replace Gary's Cookbook and came across this extension.
I have been trying to find an example site using it considering the developer doesn't have one working but I have had no luck.
I checked the forums and there seem to be some people happy with the extension but the only recent discussion is about requests to remove the copyright text. Up until the most recent request, the developer seemed accommodating.
Caution: visiting the developer's site causes a lot of pop-ups on your computer!
So the questions remain:
Does this extension work?
What versions of Joomla does it work with?

I see the potential, but there are a number of bugs on the demo of JRecipes. Calls to non-existant objects, non-display of results when "Founded" [sic].
I can let the grammar go - since that's just a language file thingy, but I'm not going to spend money on something that doesn't appear to work.
