did what it said it would do.

do i wish there were other things it did (like customizable marketing flyers)? certainly. but what it says it will do it did well. i've done minor surgery to the look and feel and added qr code and customized marketing flyer support. other than that, it's worked flawlessly out of the box.

I've used it on a few sites and a shame that development has ceased on it as it was flexible enough to use with ANY kind of property or items.

I'm not working on an update for Hot Property for Joomla 1.6 right now until there is enough request from our users.

I used HotPropert couple of years ago when I was part of the web design studio and now when I decided to startup my own propery site I didn't hesitate bought it. I think that HotProperty it's a classic of the joomla extensions. It's powerfull and stable. I had couple of small problems with listing link, but I discovered that it's bug of my hosting, but not of the HotPropery. I hope to see version for Joomla 1.6 in future.

After extensive searches for a real estate component I ended up selecting this extension as it showed the most promise.

While it fell short on what I assumed are basic added features like captcha, image gallery options, I had faith it would address those in future releases. Unfortunately the development of this extension is stagnant and has been for quite some time.

I realize I put too much faith in the idea that those that pay for it help foster its growth. It is one of the more expensive extensions I have purchased and easily the one I'm most disappointed with as far as progress and growth.

It decent but needs improvement. It's falling behind in the development race. My suggestion, drop the price to hopefully foster its popularity and provide the developer funding (if that is the reason why its gone so stale).

Why is the demo an obsolete version running on Joomla 1.0? If I am expected to pay $119 for it, I would at least want to see the current version before I´m buying.
This gives the imnpression that the developer does not care about the component any more.
That´s a pity, I have used it on a couple of sites in the J! 1.0 days and I know it was a stable component with a promising future, however lacking some essential features at that time.

I have used HotProperty for several years now on numerous client sites. The component itself is well rounded with a good foundation.

The few times I have run into issues or bugs (usually due to another 3rd party plugin/component/module that I have installed) the support has been very prompt and thorough. Nothing but good things to say about this developer and this component.

Hot Property is an extremely solid product. Maybe not the most options. In contrast, the formatting code example is very tidy. The service is more than perfect and fast (thanks Lee). Google maps also through external plugins available. It is perhaps better that this standard will be implemented soon.

Conclusion: Highly recommended.

We really like Hot Property component and recently we had a problem with the number of pictures that could be uploaded caused by new config introduced in PHP 5.2.12 that limits the number of file upload. Support on this case was excelent and they guide us and helped us with the hosting company, until the problem was resolved. A+++ for your technical support

We have used this component for well over six months now. It is one of the most well written component. Almost everything you might want to change in this component is configurable at the admin panel.

Great support. This component is so well written, we use this component to learn Joomla.

I recently bought this product for a client and I must say, great extension. As a moderate computer user I was very impressed on how it came together so easily.

I did have some small issues with the property type menu as it keeps all of the types in alphabetical order I could not arrange them to my clients preferance. Instead I had to create a menu through the joomla interface and link all the pages to such.

Other then that, great product, highly recommended!

This is an easy to install and use extension. Customizing it needs a little knowledge and there are a few little gripes but overall this is a great program. Support is very helpful, they even installed an upgrade after giving them full access to my site.

I purchased Hot Property a while ago. I must say I am very happy with it. Installation was easy and straightforward. I also send several questions to support. And the response is fast!

I have used all of the available downloads for Real estate and hands down the best platform on the market, open source or not is by a company called galtlinedesign. This company nailed it, they everything in it... This open source project can get out of hand without the right support.

We bought and installed HP beta 4. It worked fine and we were initially very impressed - it got us up and running fast. Modifications were difficult due to the complete lack of documentation and the forum is helpful only if you have hours to wade through red herrings. We reached a critical point after uploading 350 or so properties - editing of properties doesnt work after a certain critical mass - a known problem which was not mentioned when we bought, of course.
We were told to upgrade, which was a very dodgy and worrying process which threw up several issues - not least the loss of all modifications we had made to the underlying code (this is unfortunate but understandable). However, having done the upgrade, we find the search facility (fundamental functionality for a property sales site) for RC1 (latest release) doesnt work and hasnt for two months or more. Feedback on a fix is ZERO and, of course, documentation is also zero.
If they get their act together, they have a GREAT extension which WAS well worth the money, but there is a definite feeling of walking a tightrope with these guys and support gives you the feeling of walking through a midwestern ghost town - tumbleweed and all.

HP best solution for real estate website in the near future I'll detail all the possible tuning of this component. In a very short time I managed to create a valuable site real estate. I recommend to all. See my site http://62metra.ru

First, thanks for this nice component. It is still beta (1.0b4), but it almnost functining with no problems!


Few bugs that I have to report:

Description disappear, after editing existing property....so need to be entered evry time (in Front-end only)

When creating NEW exra fields, multitext (textarea) don't work....actualy, you can't set "size" (number of rows/lines ), so everything is in single line

I don't know why, but sometimes HP add link's to picture (picture that don't exist)....so there is problem when deleting that property. You must set another picture first, then delete that item (property).

I recently purchased this for a client's real estate site. I'm very pleased with both the options it gives for a real estate site and the excellent tech support when a problem occurs. They also have a very active forum where I've found some good information on making customizations the my client has requested.

If you're looking to create a real estate website for yourself or for someone else, I highly recommend Hot Property.

I have to say the support has been very quick. I have had multiple questions and I always get responses within 1 day (usually late at night).

There are some features I would like to see, but it sounds like the release of 1.0 stable with handle most of it. (I am not sure when that is coming).
