The hugely popular J!Analytics for Joomla! 1.5 is now available for Joomla! 1.6. J!Analytics is a Joomla 1.6/1.5 module which inserts Google Analytics code into your web site pages. This Plugin puts the Tracking Code for Google Analytics into your site right before the footer and you can configure multiple analytic codes. Google Analytics Tracking Code looks like this "UA-XXXXXXX-X" . You can register at http://www.google.com/analytics/ to get a tracking code. Additional tracking code is just to be seperated by a comma. Bincom Multiple Google Analytics Plugin based is on BIGSHOT Google Analytics. This system plugin is using the latest Google Analytics Code (as at 11-11-11 - improved Asynchronous snippet) and can include multiple tracking codes. BADEsemowo wrote this for a client project that needed to include multiple google analytics into the site. Mayowa Olurin modified the core to work in J! 1.5 , 1.6 , 1.7 and hopefully 2.5. Joomla 1.5 Only! This is an update to the fine work by BIGSHOT on their Google analytics plugin, which we used on every site (thanks guys)! This is the same thing, but uses the new Asynchronous Google Analytics tracking code and adds it just before the closing html head tag for faster (asynchronous) loading of your website (without having to modify your template's default code)! If your site was slow because of google analytics, try this! This eliminates the lag caused by the old google analytics urchin.js and gs.js codes that had to be loaded at the bottom before the closing body tag. http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/asyncTracking.html We just wanted to give back to the Joomla community in one small way! You can view the source code of our site to see it in action (demo above)! Just install, goto plugin manager (EXTENSIONS -> PLUGIN MANAGER, click on it, then add your UA-XXXXXXX-X Web Property ID in the plugin settings, and set ENABLE to YES! To verify it is working View Source of your homepage and search for your web property ID. Google reports on stats gathered 24 hours later... so be patient! Oh and make sure to disable any other tool that adds the Google Analytics tracking code so you don't have 2 tracking codes (duh!). Troubleshooting... Disable all caching/css compression/speed tools first to verify you are looking at fresh code! Then try setting the system plugin last or first in the order in plugin manager, then try disabling all other system plugins temporarily. -- IMPORTANT: Imagine having a strong urge, to come back here and leave a review, that won't go away until you do! Just one tiny thing we'd like in return... We'd be grateful! Updated to include advanced options of domain tracking methods... just install it over the old one (no need to uninstall).

Google has opened up for a new way of incorporating the Google Analytics code on your web site: Asynchronous loading. This means Google Analytics will be loading at the same time as other elements on your web page, therefore not slowing it down. As a result you can now place the Google Analytics code near the top of your page, which again means that your will get more accurate statistics in Google Analytics. If people navigate away from your page before the page is fully loaded the visit will still register in Goolge Analytics.
