When working on Joomla websites it is often that people would prefer it to be able to provide a more Wordpress like blog feel when it is being used as a blog, one of these things is the widgets panel in the sidebar. Tag clouds are often used to give a bump in SEO and also to help the user get a good idea of what content the website contains. When looking through the joomla extensions I came across a few half-hearted attempts at tag clouds which involved you manually turning off/on words you wouldn't want in the cloud. I have now made my very own Tag Cloud which albeit is in beta but will go through your Joomla content (and is also compatible with JComments, Virtuemart Products, and CCBoard posts) and automatically generates a tag cloud based on your content. I am aware people will want content from other components, so if you want one adding then please ask in the comments below or on my website and I will do my best. I have made the code simple as well so if you don't mind changing the PHP in the module then it will be easy to copy and paste a few lines to add other components to the content list in the tag cloud. FEATURES * Supports Articles, VirtueMart Products, JComment comments, and ccBoard posts. * Allows exclusion of words, on-top of the included extensive list of 'common' words. * Signature of author is turned on by default, you can disable this in module manager. * Font size variation is allowed, i.e. most popular is 25px, least is 10px * Limit the amount of tags in the cloud, this defaults to 25. * Developed on PHP 5.2.X, please inform me of problems. Fixed Issues: * Issue with first character of word being removed when followed by a foreign character such as áéíóú * Load issues on lower end servers with large amounts of content, see new setting in module to set row parse limit. * Added ability to filter tags by minimum string length, as requested by Kentel. * Added support for K2 (this may be buggy, please give feedback) * Optimised analysing loop to help load time onshared hosting with large content. * Fixed issue with language specific characters: Norwegian, German, Spanish etc (this now seems completely fuctional, please report bugs to my website) * Author/Category filter added for the content section * Support for 1.6 added (this is early beta) THIS PRODUCT IS IN BETA ALTHOUGH EXTENSIVE TESTING HAS BEEN PERFORMED ON MY SERVER SETUP.

TopCloud is an alternate front end for the Joomla search component. There are several categories which match the output for Joomla search. The TopCloud module is customizable in both appearance and content. A range of graphic background and surrounds is integral to the module. These can be extended through an media add-on or your own custom designs. The colours of the links which make up the content of the cloud are also customizable. Landing page is selectable. Clouds may be numerically reduced for large clouds. Support for characters outside the site localisation - useful for multilingual content. A choice of fonts and text sizes/weights are available. Localization is available for English, Russian, French and German languages. This module is not flash based. No need to register.

SearchTag plugin will extract content meta keywords as"tag"; and show the keywords at the bottom of the article, separated by ",". What is JTags? JTags is a Joomla! Extension for adding keywords (tags) to Joomla! Content. What is it for? The general project idea is to enable users inserting specific labels to tag any Joomla! content. Some time ago I was browsing some site and looked for articles related to "iPhone". Unfortunately I was forced to browse every page and stare at text just focused to find requested label. I guess many of you was at the similar situation, so you know how it is tiring and frustrating. If only I could just select/type "iPhone" tag, I would find requested articles just in eye blink.

This Joomla Module displays customized Tag-Cloud on your Joomla site. You can setup up-to 30 tags and their corresponding links (it will be linked to search results if link is not defined for a tag). You can also specify the size and color for each tag. You can select any web safe font from a drop-down (common for all tags in one module instance). There are more configuration options (speed, direction, opacity, outline, shape etc.). This is fully HTML5 based so no flash plugin required and also good for SEO.
