Kunena Spam Killer is a Joomla 1.5 native extension developed by Ossolution Team to prevent your Kunena forum From being posted Spam posts by Spammers . UPDATE : The extension is now working properly. I finally found out the way the spam both bypass the check of the plugin and fixed it ! The principle is simple : When someone posts a message on your forum, the Kunena Spam Killer plugin will be trigged. The plugin will use Akismet service to check whether this message is posted by a spammer. If Yes, the forum post will be unpublished. Also, a notification email will be sent to administrator and a confirmation email will be sent to users to inform them about this spam message. Administrator can go to the back-end of the component, see list of spam messages . If he sees a message which is not a spam, he can publish it and the message will be showed on your forum. Features 1. Auto detect and un-publish any spam messages on your forum as soon as it is posted by spammers. 2. Send notification email to administrator and confirmation email to spammer when a spam message is detected (You can turn off sending emails feature in configuration the extension). 3. Auto add users to trusted list if there is no spam detected in his forum post (this is configurable) . If a user is in trusted list, when he post a new message on your forum, the system will not have to connect Akismet to check for spam . 4. Auto add users to block list when spam detected in their forum posts. (this is configurable). If a user is in block list, when he post a new post on forum, the forum post will be unpublished automatically. 5. CB 1.0.2, CB 1.1, CB1.2 support vBulletin 3.6, 3.7, 3.8 and 4.0 support The bridge is installed to your system without modifying the core files of both your Joomla and vBulletin. This will allow you to install any other joomla components on your site without any limitations that can usually be found in other bridges. * You can switch between "Community-Builder" or "non-Community-Builder". So this version carries both versions. * You can choose the vB-Database manualy, so there is no need to have the forum-path aligned with the Joomla-path. You can synchronize the Joomla-DB with any vB-database no matter on which domain and connected with which database. * If you insert the vB-directory it automatically takes all the database-date from the vB-Config-File. A very simple yet customizable module to display recent topics from your IPB-based forum in Joomla. I wasn't able to find any similar module and created one myself. Since I love when a program or script has a bunch of preferences, I tried to customize each and every possible parameter. Settings list: - database parameters (DB name, username and password, prefix etc.); - number of recent topics to display; - number of characters in topic title to display; - date format; - forum location (in case it's not in default 'forum' folder); - show or hide last post date, author and forum; - set the list of forums, which shouldn't be displayed in the module; - show or hide first and last post text; - fields to display anything you want above and below topics list. Extra: - automatic post time adjustment according to IPB settings; - English and Russian language files; - separate customizable CSS-file; - Two FREE hugs from me :-) NOTE! If you have problems with displaying non-Latin characters in the module, open mod_ipb_latest.php, uncomment all commented strings (you won't miss'em) and comment the above ones. This should solve all possible display problems. If it won't and you can't fix it yourself - feel free to contact me. Changes in version 1.6: - optimized for latest versions of IPB; - added Joomla 1.6 compatibility; Don't forget to unzip archive before install!
