Twitter box is a simple twitter module for Joomla. This module loads the tweets from the twitter account that is set from the module parameters page.And hence the twitter account can only set by administrator. This module is free to use and is released under GNU/GPL. The version 1.1 now also includes the timeline selection. The administrator can select from User, Home or Friends timeline to show. Features 1. Timeline Selection User can select from user, home and friends timeline. The User timeline displays twitter feeds from user posts only. The Home timeline displays twitter freeds from user home page as seen on twitter website. The Friends timeline displays twitter feeds from user and user's friend tweets. 2. Twitter Template User can create custom twitter template to display tweets. User can use following variables to create custom template. {username} – Twitter Username of the poster {tweet} – Twitter status. This is a module which displays a Twitter Lists created by you and also displays tweets from any user specified in module parameters. Also it comes with Authentication anywhere and with nice display of Follow me button. This makes a API call using OAUTH Authentication. Simply you have to get a consumer key, consumer secret, access token and access token secret from twitter following this link http://dev.twitter.com/apps. Then you can just enter all details in the module config parameters. Run it once in the frontend before using cron job. After that you can enable cron and use the jcron component to call the twitter plugin which you have downloaded. In the jcron component enable cron support and then create new cron task by selecting plugin path and in the command line give 'twitter.writeuserdata' and make another cron job and this time give 'twitter.writelistdata'. First one calls the plugin to write the username data to a file and the second one calls to write the lists data to a file. For any help you can always join the forum and get free support.

This displays a nice twitter module. Register for an API through http://dev.twitter.com/apps and then copy the consumer key, consumer secret, token and token secret and paste it in your joomla module parameters in respective input box. That's it. it will start working. You also have the choice to display number of tweets. Login/Logout button. Also comes with Authenticate anywhere etc. try to enter correct data.
