OpenEstate.org provides a freeware software-solution - called OpenEstate-ImmoTool - for small and medium sized real-estate-agencies all over the world. As one certain feature of this software, the managed properties can be exported to any website that supports PHP. Together with this plugin, the exported properties can be easily integrated into Joomla without any frames. ------------------------ HOW TO INSTALL ------------------------ In advance - you need to create an export interface within OpenEstate-ImmoTool. Select the format 'Website: PHP-Export' and transport method 'FTP'. Create an empty directory on your webspace and enter it's path in the FTP configuration. After you've executed the export procedure for the first time, you should find some PHP scripts in the previously created folder on your webspace. These PHP scripts are compatible from Joomla 1.5 up to 2.5. Upon logging in and clicking the webERPcustomer menu selection the user/salesperson will be able to view and update webERP customer master records assigned to them and access/update associated wiki data. webERPcustomer is an easy way to allow sales persons to update their customer data. The Joomla user name and webERP salesperson code must be the same and the Joomla database user must be given rights to the webERP database. webERP is an open source accounting package that is very popular. At Rockwall Computer we are writing modules and components integrated with webERP so that companies can access and update data in webERP using Joomla modules and components. This reduces training time and the user interface is more friendly and powerful. For instance, this accounts receivable customer and branch record update is much easier to access than through webERP. Clicking the note/pencil opens the webERP wiki notes for that customer. This method of access to a sales persons including the wiki integration makes it very powerful!

This module allows you to add a Wikipedia Button into any module position. Install module in the normal way. Then go to extensions -> module manager -> select the module that you installed. Everything should be self explanatory from here. What about getting in Joomla!™ accented urls (for those using a latin alphabet) or with your own language glyphs (in Greek, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Persian, etc.)? Until now Joomla was only proposing ASCII urls when using its native SEF. Titles (articles, menu items, etc.) were replaced by a date in the alias when written in a non-latin alphabet. Grace to this system plugin, we have no more transliteration, spaces as well as special forbidden characters are transformed to hyphens. Wikipedia demonstrates this in Persian:http://ps.wikipedia.org/wiki/فارسي is in fact: http://ps.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D9%81%D8%A7%D8%B1%D8%B3%D9%8A Google has no problem searching or referencing such links. The url to an article describing this plugin functionnalities is http://info-graf.fr/infografcvs/des-urls-de-toute-beauté.html Caps as well as the accented letters are kept in the url. Tip: Browsers behave differently when copying such urls. Firefox will copy the unicode format while Opera will get the original glyphs. Caution: 1. This plugin loads a modified version of the class « Jfilteroutput » (libraries/joomla/filter/filteroutput.php). While this class has not been modified since 2007/03/15, it could be in the future and therefore necessitate an update of this plugin. 2.Some 3pd extensions may have modified this class for their own needs through JExtend. Therefore, there could be incompatibility as this plugin loads last. PS: English and French language included. Note: updated on 2010/28/26 to include an index.html file in the unicode folder.

QCubed (pronounced 'Q' - cubed) (http://www.qcu.be) is a PHP5 Model-View-Controller framework. The goal of the framework is to save the time for developers around mundane, repeatable tasks - allowing them to concentrate on things that are useful AND fun. How many times have you written that SQL query, and then parse out the results? How about that time when you had to create a form with validation logic? How about a situation where you had to move your database back-end from MySQL to Postgresql or any other database? All of these situations, and many more, can be simplified with QCubed. There are two key elements to the framework: the Code Generator, and the event-driven, stateful user interface framework (QForms). The Code Generator The Code Generator creates PHP classes based on your database schema. It uses the concept of ORM, object-relational mapping, to map your DB tables to PHP classes, to allow you to manipulate objects, instead of constantly issuing SQL queries. One-to-many relationship? No problem. Association tables? No problem. Ease of transitioning between RDBMS systems? That's the whole point. Object-oriented querying? We got it. User Interface Library QForms provide a framework for a true model-view-controller infrastructure in your application. Using standard HTML, create a layout of your page (view). Insert a few controls into that HTML to make it a template that will display the form data. Define those controls and their logic in a PHP class that derives from QForm (controller). Use the code-generated ORM classes to read and write from the database (model). Customize and extend any component of the system: override properties of a QForm; create your own custom control; use a combination of controls to define a reusable QPanel that can be used as a building block across multiple pages. This method of access to customer data is much easier for a sales person and the wiki integration with webERP makes it very powerful! With color coded aging the number of aging columns is reduced and it easy to see which lines need attention. Create a user in Joomla that is the same as the salesperson code in webERP and when that user logs into Joomla they can see their customer accounts and aged accounts receivable.
