Switch a Batch of Modules to a New Position

Let's say you are switching to a new Joomla template and the position names differs from your old template; for example, the "left" position doesn't exist in your new template, instead is named "sidebar1".

Certainly you may edit each module to assign it to the new module position, but what if you have more than 50 modules? That would be an exhausting and repetitive work!

In this post, I'll share with you a quick way to switch all your modules from a given position to another one.

Protect Your Joomla Site with a SSL Certificate

A SSL certificate is what makes possible to access a site through https -  the "s" is for "Secure".

If your Joomla site allows user login and registration,  you need an SSL certificate as soon as possible to keep the information your users submit encrypted. Otherwise, if any of your users login connected through public WiFi, their data will be submitted as plain text and can be intercepted by other people.

In two steps, solve this requirement.

Debug system is a useful feature for Joomla developers to check session information, database queries, log messages and more.

When it's enabled, all the system information is available to anybody who visit the website, however thanks to the plugin's flexibility is possible to restrict this feature to super users.
